Wire question

Hello guys

my bank is asking me to show them the source of income. I told them that I work with sponsors in entertainment stuff.

They said: "ok but we need some proof of the wires you are receiving, like some work contract or something else"

What kind of proof can a sponsor offer me?

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks.

Hm, ask a sponsor to send you a official letter that you're an affiliate and get a comission for the sales you make?

Just an idea though, better get epassporte IMO.

I also use epassporte. But for the bigger payments I use wire.

why would they ask that ? it's money coming to your account, non of their business

if they're being a bitch, tell them it's a present from your mother or something, what can they say back

they ask that question because they need to be sure the money is not from "money laundering"

So, how to show the bank I'm a webmaster and get comissions from sales?

What kind of papers should I request the sponsor I'm working with?

I had some wires returned because of the very same thing. Just had to show a statement with the senders name on.

Chances are you can tell them to shove it. You don't work with contracts or need contracts to produce income. You may want to check your bank contract on what rights you signed over, but normally they have no legal rights to that information.

Don't let your bank fuck you with.

Most likely the bank is doing you a favour.
They are requirred to report suspicious activity on accounts to the IRS (at least here in Denmark, not sure how it is where you are located), so seems they ask first what is going on in your account.
Send them the Terms and conditions from a few of yours sponsors and some statistic screenshots matching a few incomming transfers and they will most likely leave you alone.
You are ofcourse not requirred to do such a thing, at least not untill the IRS knocks on your door

There is a chance that they are safe gaurding due to the Patriot Act, however, I would bet that any bank asking for that information up front is the same bank that is going to close the account due to the nature of the business.

Let me guess, Bank of America or Chase?

Ask them to show you the law that says you have to tell them. They can't produce it, period.

Did anyone know that on a personal bank account you DON'T have to give your SSN? Even though they say it's the law, when it isn't. You don't need your SSN for credit either, even though they say it's the law.

Chances are, some manager figured out you did adult and had a problem with it, so they passed it on.

I agree you should not have to. My bank doesn't, but they do have to report bank wires or something now. I had to do one a few months back and heard about this b.s.. All has to do with homeland security or something to that effect.

I was never asked where it comes from, but then again, they know 'kinda' what I do, and I am on a first name basis with everyone in my branch. So maybe they just know better than to ask.

They have a right to ask the source of funds comming to your account, if you refuse to give them this information they might terminate your account.

If you are going for a loan, and the loaner is your bank, then they can ask for proof of income.

You can write to your sponsors and ask them for a letter, stating you receive funds from them as an affiliate....

Where are you located?

Hello guys.

I am not asking for a loan, but I went personally to the bank to extract funds from my account. This is the first time I do this in 2 years I have the account with them.

So they looked in the computer and saw all my wires coming in. That's why they asked. Otherwise they would never ever ask anything.

I will try showing them some papers, and ask my sponsor if it is possible to get a paper form them.

But I will also tell the bank that if that is not enough I will stop sending them money. And I don't think they want to stop receiving funds from me.

Now If the Bank close my account, do I get all the money I have in my account?

I think it's time to do a small trip to Switzerland. They never ask you anything about this.

if they close your account, they basically write you a cheque for full amount and close your account... so you not going to loose the money, just go to the different bank... if this shit would happend to me, i would simply tell them please close my account i'm going to different bank and thats when they will start kissing ur ass... but i would still switch banks, non of their business to ask

change banks. They have no right to ask you for where your money comes from. Unless you make deposits over 10K at a time

Because of the Patriot act the banks feel they can ask anything from you when they want. I've been through it before as well. Last summer a bank wanted to close my accounts because i also have an out of state address, all they wanted was proof i was at the address I told them.

Been fine ever since.

I had the same issue. I just showed those damn bitches my invoices. I do business through StormPay and RegNet - and just print their invoices. Worked for me. If doesn't work for you, send that bank down the asshole, mate!

All normal banks in normal countries may ask the source of funds, especially if sums are large. Switzerland is no exception.
