AVS Generator Scripts/Programs

You owe it to yourself to check out what is available, and who you can trust.

So if you're going to go the template method, here are some other "AVS" generator scripts.
OTScripts is known for honesty, and excellent support.. unlike a certain other shady mofo.

The AVS Advantagizer and The AVS Doorway Entrancer
http://www.otscripts.com

AVSWeasel - http://www.avsweasel.com/
AVSBlitz - http://www.avsblitz.com/
AVS Wizard - http://avs-wizard.com/

The real deal is any of them are only as good as their template flexibility and power. You still have to do a lot of work getting everything setup if you want good quality. OTScripts is probably the best as far as that goes.

You could hire any of these guys to build good quality sites that will get approved, and not even bother with the scripts until you've tested the market first.

yes, listen to brujah

and my best suggestion is do not do business with nuclei / perlcoders unless you want to gamble even more with your money!

Some template people go too far using the same template.

For $700 it would need to be.

I may be biased, but I disagree with your assessment, Brujah.(any particular reason you're pushing OTScripts?) - I challenge anyone to look at both my site and OTScripts, and then tell me again why they think otscripts is better. ;>

Cheers,
Backov

Not pushing OTScripts for any reason other than everything I've ever heard was that their support is excellent and the coders are very honest in their dealings with you.

I haven't heard anything negative about AVSBlitz. As a matter of fact, the only one I've heard numerous negative things about was a Perlcoders product.

Do you know if a chart exists anywhere that compares the different programs and features ?

Now wiseone, I've read your posts in the past and respect your views, but I've gotta disagree here as well.

If you're talking about the old-school approach where you've got like one set of templates, and crank out shitloads of crappy looking sites with it, that's bad. But if you use that template (your own, hopefully nice design) not near as much, and augment it with graphics, customized text and custom-cropped, censored (or whatever) preview pics, it's all good. In fact it's usually better than handmade sites. Add the whole extra traffic angle with automatic AVS and LL entrances, and your golden.

What's your objection?

Cheers,
Backov

Brujah,

Ya, I've heard Tom is a nice guy, although I've never seen that side of him. When I launched AVSBlitz him and Voltar threatened to sue me for "stealing his ideas".. When I pointed out that he didn't have a patent, he told me that he'd let the lawyers decide. You may notice a little crack in his sales text about "the only legal script to use"... blah blah.. He's talking about me. ;> It's amazing when someone who deals with copyright issues all day doesn't know copyright law.

Anyway, as for features, no, I don't know of any chart. The feature sets are somewhat different now-a-days.. Tom is still going for lots of sites, interlinked, with not as much control over the appearance as I would like, it appears. Mine is more of a webmaster "assistant" than an automation tool - I am more interested in letting the wm do the sites he wants to without most of the pain involved in the process..

Cheers,
Backov

Oh, I absolutely agree. Most of my early customers were burned AVSMaker owners - they spent the money and felt totally ripped. There were others who wouldn't even consider looking at Blitz because they felt so badly burnt by AVSMaker..

Wasn't there an AVS company that had a built-in generator for its webmasters ? Was it CyberAge ? AVS2K ?

Yeh, stay away from me and http://avsmakerpro.com I mean shit, you would be crazy to deal with a site that has a record of outstanding support and updates for this product. Not to mention a full message board on the site with all the happy people saying great things and all =)

I find it funny that there are like 2 people who bitch about us all the time, yet when they do a mess of people come out and say the exact opposite

I also find it amusing that they have to start a brand new thread together (like this one) just because so many people came out on the original one supporting perlcoders

wiseone: I see you are still thinking we sell "templates" dude wakeup. Nobody here is selling templates geeez

Backov: erm I hate to break this to you, but with our autoupdater, we see who is actively using avsmaker pro. And there are exactly 3 people who do not actively update theirs. I would say thats a pretty damn good ratio of happy customers

backov,
i hate it when people are calling AVS Blitz just a template website maker,,,, it really is way more powerful software,,, its more of a management tool for your sponsers, links, websites, content, etc..etc..,

it really helps me maintain some sort of organization,,,

the price is worth it,,

I really think that the original thread was closed simply because it was a big spam fest. ;>

There was only one of the people that "came out in support" of AVSMaker in that thread that wasn't a hand puppet.. Hazen I believe.

Cheers,
Backov

Didnt know I was a hand puppet.. ;)

Gawd the immaturity in these threads just amazes me.. There are a few AVS Maker Programs out there on the web and they all have their positives and negatives.. I have avs maker pro and I like it.. and we continue to see people bashing Perl Coders saying they are scam artists.. and all this other shit.. yet why are they continuing to do good things for our community? I got that program at an auction to benefit RED, a member of our adult webmaster community. Some of these people I never even heard of who are making these complaints.. hell one called me a kiss ass.. heh, most that know me, know I speak my mind.. Im just too busy with LIFE to post on these boards all the time yet it upsets me to see intelligent caring people getting bashed by someone who perhaps had a misunderstanding or no clue as to how to use certain programs.

Thats my 2 cents. OH and Im so fucking happy.. I got my GFY tshirt today.. fucking rocks.. too bad its 90 degrees out or id wear the sucka ;)
