When Life imitates ..... MafiaBucks

Got this from my local newspaper:

God! Girlie Ganagters!
The headline news was sadly familiar for most Italians... a high speed acr chase in southern italy ends in a deadly shootout between rival Mafia families.

But these were not the usual suspects.

The gun toting clan leaders wre e50-somehting italian mommas and teenage girls.

The protagonists in the bloodbath were the wives and granddaughters of Camorra gangster families, the Mafia organisation that operates inand around the southern Italian city of Naples.

The battle of the sexes has taken on a new meaning in Naples with the Madrina - or Godmother- muscling in on the territory of the traditional Godfather.

"Yesterdays incident shows that not only the bosses' and their 'soldiers' have the duty to eliminate members of rival families; now the women , the bosses' wives and even the daughters participate" Corriere Della Sera newspaper wrote

...looks like Snow's started a trend....

Not the usual suspects ...

ROME - The headline news Monday was sadly familiar for most Italians - a high speed car chase in southern Italy ends in a deadly shoot-out between rival Mafia families. But these were not the usual suspects.

The gun-toting clan leaders Sunday night were 50-something Italian mamas and teenage girls, police said.

"Obviously things are changing even in these feuds," the Corriere della Sera newspaper wrote on Monday.

The protagonists in Sunday's bloodbath were the wives and granddaughters of Camorra gangster families, the Mafia organisation that operates in and around the southern Italian city of Naples.

One car full of Cava family women and another car with Camorra boss Salvatore Graziano, his granddaughters and their mother showered each other with bullets in the prolonged shoot-out in Lauro, a town east of Naples. Two middle-aged mothers and a 16-year-old girl were killed.

Excellent reading now Mr Fiction.. I love this stuff..

QUOTE: Mafia women, especially in Sicily's 'Cosa Nostra', are traditionally not allowed to get mixed up in men's business. Instead, the black-skirted women shuttle between the kitchen and the church, selflessly grieving for their fallen loved ones.

DONT FUCK WITH MAFIA GIRLS

That reminds me of a funny joke:

why did God give women legs?

so they can get between the bedroom and the kitchen

or - so they don't leave snail trails

LMAO

Another longer news article with a lot more of the story:

The Godmothers

The bullet-riddled car, bloody bodies, vengeful assessins... It was like a scene from Mario Puzo - except the feuding mafiosos were all women. Bruce Johnson and Alasdair Palmer report

It began between the perm and the manicure. Clarissa Cava was at the hairdressers. She seemed like any other 16-year-old: concerned about her appearance and desperate to ensure her grooming was "just right".

The woman sitting in the adjacent chair having her hair done was Alba Graziano - a middle-aged but still attractive woman. The two women started arguing about some apparently trivial matter. Clarissa made a disrespectful remark about Mrs Graziano. The row became heated.

Clarissa gave Mrs Graziano a slap. Furious, she stormed out of the hairdressers, insisting that Clarissa "will pay for this".

In most countries, that would be that: tempers would cool and the row would be forgotten. But Clarissa and Alba live in Lauro, near Naples: the heart of Camorra country, as organised crime in greater Naples is known.

Here, insults are not forgotten - and when someone vows revenge, they take it in bloody fashion. Both women belonged to notorious families which have been at war with each other for thirty years.

It was a piece of astonishing bad luck that they ended up next to each other in a hairdressing salon.

The salon spat produced horrific results. A week ago, in the cool of the evening, Clarissa and her sister, two aunts and a cousin, were driving along the busy Via Cassese in Lauro.

Alba Graziano was waiting for them with a machine gun. Accompanied by her two daughters, Stefania, 21, and Chiara, 22, she opened fire, spraying the on-coming car with hundreds of bullets. Clarissa tried desperately to escape, but was killed in the hail of fire as she struggled to open the car door. Her two aunts, one of whom tried to shield Clarissa with her body, were also shot to death.

Clarissa's sister Felicia is in hospital, as is her cousin. Both are unlikely to survive their injuries.

The Graziano family later toasted the murders with prosecco, a sparkling white wine. By chance, the police had planted a bug inside the Graziano family home. A woman is heard shouting excitedly: "We blew them away!"

The police later arrested and searched a 62-year-old grandmother from the Graziano family at the hospital where she was visiting relatives. A 9mm calibre handgun was found stuffed into her bra. Police believe the gun was one of those used in the massacre.

The bullet-riddled car with blood-soaked bodies resembled a scene from The Godfather. But there was a crucial difference: for the first time, the victims and perpetrators were women. The Camorra has a long tradition of ruthless brutality.
