I've found that they usually don't have deals on laptop hds as they do with normal desktop harddrives with the insane rebates and stuff.

I always buy laptop drives from either newegg.com or zipzoomfly.com.

The Western Digital Scorpio? I picked one up a month ago myself. If so, you might want to download the format utility from Western Digital and make a utlity disk. Windows format did not work w/ my drive.

its easy to replace a laptop hard drive you can probly go buy a new 120gb one for $150 or a 80GB for -$100 and whack it in yourself

2.5" drive

get a small screwdriver kit and try it - if the bottom panel don't come off approach from the top and if tis stuck around the bit what holds the monitor on try popping the housing that creeps up the monitor bit off to the side

OK!

my hard drive slides out the side of my laptop...I just undo the latch and it pops out...they made it that way so I could have multiple drives if I wanted to
