Jerry Rice officially retires

http://www.kpho.com/sports/9732700/detail.html

he signed a one-day contract to officially retire from San Fran.

although I never liked the 49ers, I have much respect for Rice.

One of the all time greats. That's pretty big of him to go back to SF just to retire where his legacy remains.

Jerry Rice is the greatest receiver of all-time and theres nobody even close to him in 2nd place.... class by himself.

too bad Joe Montana didnt do the same thing, as he shouldve retired a 49er

I'm pretty sure Montana did retire a niner.

Jerry Rice is arguably the best athlete ever. He'll be missed.
