Dear GFY,

Someone we know well and all like is going to have some surgery over the holidays that will set how the rest of her life goes.
She is spending 2 weeks in the hospital and will need another 2 weeks of recovery time at home. Which means all of December is gone. A $1,500 contract was lost because of this.

She has NO ability to work in the month of December and is - being blunt - broke for the holidays. She can not afford to have a holiday dinner, send out cards to family, nothing. This surgery is going to drain her physically, mentally and financially for a month+.

I have decided that who better to help her out than the community she loves so much. GFY!

I will be organizing the donations. I have her home address as well as hospital information that you can send to. You can of course chose to have your donation displayed publicly or ask not to have it displayed and have an anonymous donation.

If you don't know yet who this is, it is Tala!

If you're interested in giving something, please email me: [email protected] . EVERYTHING helps. $5, $10, maybe you want to send some flowers to the hospital. Whatever you can do WILL be greatly appreciated.

I wish I could do more for her, but our holidays are looking pretty grim, too. Our bills took EVERYTHING this week and people just aren't promoting my BYOTs like they used to. We don't even have a tree yet and my kids are beginning to ask why.

Brad what a wonderful idea. Hats off to you for organizing a way to help someone as sweet as Tala.

I speak to Tala on icq quite a bit and the other day she was telling me about it too. She was freaking out wondering how she was going to cover everything.

She expressed to me that she hates being in this situation and not being able to do anything about it because of the recovery time needed after the surgery.

We were talking about her doing a erotic story special to make some money back but said she couldn't do it because of the recovery time from the surgery.

People of GFY.... I know around Christmas times can be tough for everyone but Im sure if we all pitched in even 5 bucks, we wouldn't notice it but it should would make a huge difference in Tala's life.

Brad expect a paypal from me when I get into the office tomorrow, I don't have my passwords at home.

Hats off again to you and everyone that have donated so far... its nice to see that even in a fucked up place like GFY that people can join togething and think of someone else.
