Can you afford $1 a week?
Think about this:
If everyone in the U.S. gave $1 per week to a fund (just a general fund). Every week this country would have over $200,000,000 to solve it's problems. Makes you think huh? |

most people give alot more than just $1.00, most people give around 17% of their total income to our "governments fund"
unfortunately lately that money has been going to useless wars...

I think that instead of always dipping into our pockets to give cash, we should take an hour out of each week and do something that benefits our neighbourhoods. Forget global progress, how about we make progress in our own neighbourhoods? Pick up garbage, make sandwiches for the homeless, organize a block party, create a community garden... these things would definitely make a huge difference and we could finally take back some of the power from the government!

200 million sounds like a huge number, but really it's not... if it was THAT easy, they would just raise the taxes by $50/year for everyone to solve all the problems?
