how to disable javascript?

how do i disable javascript?

i want to see how horrible my site looks without it and fix that oversight. i tried in IE6 but i can only find java, not javascript, disables.

i found ActiveScripting in IE6 and disabled it but my javascript still executes.

download Opera, in preferences you can disable java and javascript <small>go on, join usssss...</small>

i would rather not have another browser. how is opera for compatibility with formatting webpages compared to IE?

Opera shows pages properly if they have been coded properly - it has a built in validator for this.

The only problem I get it with Javascript links in webpages - they don't work. For most pages there is no problem.

I'll not rant on about it's features...

When you disable active scripting, refresh your browser before using it. I use IE 6 and it works for me.

it was working for me the entire time, it just doesn't work for files on my own computer, only for files on the net. my mistake.
