College Grads

Did you make it through in 4 years?
Back when I went through it seemed like most everyone did.I talk to people lately and it seems there is a high percentage of 5 year seniors.

I went 4 semesters. Well, looking at my transcripts, I just "kinda" went ;)

Honestly, after going through it myself and with my son, I think you should get a job right out of HS, do that job a few years THEN go to college. You'd appreciate it SO much more. I know I'm working much harder now in school that I ever did as a kid.

Alot of people are starting to go the 5 year route. College life rocks in your early twenties might as well enjoy it and I think that is what alot of people think. I wish I would have went to a bigger college and city but oh well.

It is strongly dependent on what your major was. Anyone with a communications, journalism, english literature, etc... should have no problem with 4 years. I think the average engineering, or hard physical science degree might take 5 years.

yes but not four years in a row. I did one in the States and then took a two year break when I moved to the UK and got married. Then I went back and finished within three. I have now started my masters which should take me two and a bit if all goes to plan.

If you are on top of things, finishing in 4 years isn't very hard... (assuming you only work part time, if you work full time on your biz or job, it will probably take you longer)

Just graduated earlier this year and made sure I would finish in the 4 year time span. Im happy to say I succeeded in doing. But yes I do agree, most people take about 5-6 years to finish.

Five years, but it's not really because of some failed subjects.

I got an AA degree in two years. It was brutal - Full dress code, full attendance... Miss more than three days of class and you were dropped.

I got an Associates but went to an Art School so it definitely wasn't that strict. It's easy to say that I wouldn't have survived at the place you went to.
