my first purchase with adult money

No it's not a house or car yet, I've been doing this for less than a month. I had a little salt water tank before but I transfered it over to this new one, which fits my tiny apartment perfect.

Anybody else into this money pit of a hobby?

Not much cleaning with a saltwater. If you set it up right, it's its own eco-system. I mean you clean the glass, do little (10-20%) water changes every now and then and that's about it.

There's a few parameters you need to keep in line, but it's not THAT much work.

haha yeah, he's a little one. We had 2 but I found one stuck against the powerhead one day. Maybe it was a crime of passion, I don't know.

Not many fish right now. The shrimp is pretty cool but he never comes out for pics.

That looks awesome !!!

I wish i still had my tropical aquarium. We had some amazing creatures in there. When i move out of this place i'm defo gonna start one up again.

I also had bother cleaning mine, at times the green algae was getting out of hand.

Oh, and i also now have a better idea of what fish don't mix so well...

It fits nicely at the end of our tv unit, it matches. And it saves us alot of space. It looks big - even in person, but it's only 36 gallons.

3-4k... dollars?

Depends on the size of course. But it's not cheap. That's a 36gallon, I'm maybe 25% done and I'm at $2k so far.
