Creating a business name...

is it just me or is creating a business name the hardest thing to think up? Im trying to make a business name for myself that is real general where I could pretty much sell anything with it. Ive been writing down things for days and nothing seems to stick with me.

any suggestions on how you created your business name(s)?

Think of some movie´s or images you feel comfortable with and try to build a name out of them

If a service attempt to add in the service you perform into the name.
Then either make it sound good or depending on your main advertising mediums how it could appear. AAAA towing may be better than Jakes towing on a local level.

Then of course if you plan on having a large presence or if it means much to you at all. Research the trademark offices and make sure you are not pre ordained to fuck yourself.

Like After Shock said, definitely make sure whatever name you choose is not already trademarked. I think it cost $10 when I trademarked my name last year here in AZ. It's always good to check if there are any good domain names available to go with it as well.

My registered company is called Fallen Muffin Media. It was a combo of things but has no real meaning. I used a random generator and it outputted 'Sleeping Bunny' but the fictitious name had already been registered with the state.

My first corporation was Toasted Almond, Inc. I came up with it back in '95 after a night of drinking in a frou frou bar.

My LLC is Menacing Rooster Productions, LLC -- it was a decision between that and Vicuous Tuna, LLC. I opted for the cock instead of the pussy.

I also own Killer Guitar Productions, Inc. and Alden Net, Inc. One of those is my last name.

Coming up with a business name is not tough. If you can't even come up with a name, how are you going to have the creativity to market your wares?

Best of luck!
