Am I just imagining or is Firefox 2

a piece of shit that freezes once in a while? like multiple times per day?
The other thing that bugs me is that when there's no firefox windows open, I try to click the firefox icon, nothing happens. Then I check out processes and there's like 3 open firefoxes according to that... I didn't have this problem even with the beta.

Opera has the same problem with the too many processes opened. Sometimes happens.

I have not had a problem with it or IE 7 but a friend of mine has almost the same exact problem you are having with FF2 with IE 7, his will freeze up randomly, multiple times per day. Usually it never 'crashes', that is it'll unfreeze after a bit. Weird.

YES! I see it happening on my Mac. FF seem to freeze for a few seconds whenever a certain graphic is loading (like a counter or iframed banner), or when I log into Gmail and the javascript redirect is processing. Really weird, I'd use Safari, but sadly I love the SearchStatus and Adsense Notifier too much.

The earlier versions (pre-1.5) were much quicker imo.

I get the processes issue all the time. Did with other versions too. Have to kill them before it can open up.

firefox always freezes for me when I access gmail, but haven't noticed on any other sites yet. usually freezes for about 10-15 seconds, then lets up. real pain in the ass and it's just been a recent thing since firefox automatically upgraded me.
