To MAC or not to MAC?!? That is the question!!!

I still worry about software compatibility (many software development companies still only developing for PC).

In addition, how is it with Web browsing and doing normal tasks like Photoshop, etc.?

Easy to organize, tweak, etc?

And finally, the price is what kills me. -- But man, these things look so cool and I'm sure they run pretty smooth.

I have a Xeon 5130 PC.. funnily enough, my setup is almost identical to a power mac. I thought about moving to MAC for rendering, but since I have the same processing power on my PC and more software to use I figured that there's no real gain to go to mac.

Get a Mac and then buy Parallels:

http://www.parallels.com/

or use Bootcamp:

http://www.apple.com/macosx/bootcamp/

VMWare is coming out with a solution too. See:

http://www.vmware.com/news/releases/mac.html

You'd still need a license of Windows XP, though, from eBay or somewhere else cheap.

Get a MacBook Pro, run WinXP and OSX. Easy as shit to set up. I wouldnt go ANY other way.

The new MacBookPros are 2.33ghz instead of 2.16 like mine. And 2.16 has been plenty for me on a laptop.

Go MacBook Pro. You wont regret it.
