Creative processes and deadlines do not often mix well
![]() Just stay on em and be patient. Hopefully it'll be worth the wait. |

I think Phoenix is talking about a REALLY LONG wait
![]() But its true, worst thing about inspiration its that you never know when it hits ya. Luckily I'm only doing customer support at Cardinal Vices, and we have 3 designers that do their magic. So normally our deadlines are met. |

It goes way beyond just designers, people in general suck when it comes to deadlines, especially when it's YOUR deadline and not theirs that they're fucking with.. They just don't care.

I got problems with setting up a deadline for design because when i have to chose i would rather chose a delay of 2-3 days for a great design than a design that is ready at the deadline but not 100% perfect :/
Only problem is most designers just sit aroudn doing nothing if there is no pressure behind it i assume ![]() |

i hate waiting on designers, but as long as their end product was worth the wait, i guess that's what i'll continue doing.

Make sure payment is twice as late as the work. Teach the little bastard some accountability.

>> Creative processes and deadlines do not often mix well >> they rarely ever get the job done on time, at least not the really good ones >> 95% of designers and coders are flakes. it really sucks ummm ... hello sweeping generalizations much??!!! the only designers I know who fit any of these criteria are the cheap, unprofessional ones. if you are a professional designer you should be able to switch on creativity at any time & meet deadlines when materials are provided when they are asked for ... if you are having continual problems with 1 or many designers, either pick a different one or look at how you are communicating with your selected designer. many clients don't know how to communicate what they want and get frustrated when their designer isn't psychic! we can only work with what you give us ... don't forget ... you get what you pay for! ;p |
