:stoned DO NOT CLICK this advertisement

I'm not sure if google adwords specifically states not to ask users to click your ads but i'm sure it does as most ppc sponsors usually have this rule but i wonder if you can ask your viewers NOT to click your ads.. as i'm thinking this sort of reverse psychology might work..

nope did not work on me.

I would not want to test google on that and lose my money. You might want to try it out with a new account, and new site. that way if they pull it, you dont lose much.

With all the viruses and spyware out there, I think these days if a surfer sees a link that says "DO NOT CLICK THIS", they wont.

I would not, as it could be considered drawing undue attention.

"Web pages may not include incentives of any kind for users to click on ads. This includes encouraging users to click on the ads or to visit the advertisers' sites as well as drawing any undue attention to the ads...

true .. i guess i could also just ask . heh.

I wonder how they get around other things like lets say i posted my adsense page on here and told everyone to go there and click on my ads. i would prob get alot of clicks , and you would prob say get banned , but what if i posted someone else's page , they obviously cant just ban people if someone else posted the page

As pointed out above, anything that incents the visitor to click an ad will get you booted in short order.

you could get around that i seen this site where like every 50th or some other number visitor goes to a page that says click the ad continue and they cannot continue until its clicked. But I think you would get caught in the end not sure

It seems to work, look at all these thread views. And as 2HP said, I think that would warrant undue attention to the ads, which they wouldn't like.
