Free Speech Coalition Laying Off Employees

FSC is laying off 2 employees this month due to budget constraints.

Not a good sign. Not a good sign at all...........

It means they are focusing on spending money wisely not wasting it. Not a bad idea if you ask me.

They had to let go of legislative affairs staff.

Seems to me it'd be a lot cheaper in the long run to attempt to stop getting bad laws passed, than trying to get them overturned after they've already been passed.

Im sorry but really who the hell cares, they are about as inept as a parkinson's patient caring for a bonsai tree with a line trimmer.

They do not keep their members in the loop on anything except renewal fee's.

They seem to keep quiet on every single media outcry over pornography or its associations with child porn. It is like they have the PR/spin abilities of a 19th century leper.

There have been a few meetings, hearings, and whatnot. Public and invite only, of course not a peep.

If they really are having to lay people off it would be due to their pure inability to deal with their membership base and giving them a bit of value.

If canning them had something to do with tight funds, then I would like to know how much people are being paid! I'm sure some bank accounts have grown, besides the industry lawyers that invite you to a dinner then bill you an hours time after they asked the first business question.. Leeches.

And the public face they have for our industry, the pr/spin guy.. He's the guy interviewing for the head IT job that explains to you in detail how burn a dvd. Did they interview the guy first?

You would think they might have asked a few, professional, experienced FSC members to assist them, but I'm sure the logic of lawyers said to pay some other ass hat due money just to suck the blood out of us all a little more.
