Getting out of a lease

Since I can't find a clear answer through google and its after hours to call the lease company, Im turning to GFY.

I am 10 months into a lease on a car which I wish to get out of for this years model of the same car. I know I am facing a penalty for terminating my lease early. My question is am I going to be royally screwed doing this? The payoff is pretty much blue book value for the car.

If you go back to the dealer you bought it from and get the new car from them I am sure they will work it out for you.

They're going to shank you...leases are never a good idea unless it's a grocery getter and in a business name to take advantage of the write-offs.

But everybody's right telling you to go back to the same company.

I don't know about all leases, but every lease I've ever had I was able to buy out at anytime. If the dealer will give you trade in value equal to what your buy out, should be no problem at all.
