Hi,

Yes...

Install http://www.redstonesoftware.com/prod...erver/vineosx/

this will be your server on your OSX machine and if you want to VNC to another machine (mac or pc) from the Mac, use this:

http://sourceforge.net/project/showf...group_id=64347

Merry Christmas

Mitch

thanks, mitch!

looks good, i need to investigate that. have you heard of a windows client for that? seems like this chicken thing just works on Mac.

during my research i also found PC Anywhere and Timbuktu - which seem to do that - something like LogMeIn just way easier to use cause you don't need to install so much software

There is a PC client too. I think it is called VNC view viewer or something like that and it is free as well.

VNC is built right in to OSX, assuming your mother is on 10.4.x (Tiger)

http://www.macminicolo.net/Mac_VNC_tutor.html

Has a link to a nice free VNC viewer at the end.

i have bought Timbuktu already - i remember it from my old mac times. it does not require rocket science to work with it and it uses Skype protocol to connect and works therefore with dynamic IPs and through firewalls
