What kind of restaurant are you looking for? Something cool/atmosphere? Amazing food?

For late night meals, I love to hit up L'Express(cool place, David Copperfield and Claudia Schiffer sat next to me one night there) on Park and 20th or Yaffa Cafe(Like the inside of a genie's lamp) on St. Mark's between 1st ave and Ave A. Both have pretty damn good food.

For flat out great food, check out Peter Luger's(Brooklyn), Old Homestead(9th and 12th), Asia de Cuba(on Madison... I know you said no Asian food, but its great), Ruth's Chris, Union Square Cafe, or take a stroll through Little Italy. Most of Little Italy's restaurants are pretty good around Mott St. There are TONS of great restaurants around NYC.

L'Express should add normal shit to their menu most of it is fancy schmancy crap, its a shape a place open so late with very little normal stuff to eat, everyone i know who eats there its because they have no other choice

carnigie deli is great for all night and as far as celebs well just look at the carnigie wall

I almost always get the Steak Frites at L'Express. It's just a decent steak and really good fries. Throw in some Chorizo Brocettes for an appetizer and some Creme Brulle for desert and you're set.

Candella is a great place for atmosphere, wasnt too impressed with the food. Blue Water Grill was great for seafood as is Shellys, and if your looking for italian nothing even comes close to Vincents in Little Italy.

Restaurant Row is the popular nickname for a section of 46th Street in New York City, New York. Might want to check it.

Alburquerque Eats on 27th and 3rd was always nice. It had a good little music room too.

Want a seriously interesting meal?

I recommend Alma in Redhook, Brooklyn. Amazing Mexican Food with a heated upstairs deck with a view of lower manhattan. like 10mins from the Brooklyn Bridge. Seriously good food and an amazing view.

Then go to Floyd on Atlantic Ave for some local 6Point beer and a game of indoor Bocci Ball.

i was there with friends visiting over. you basically pay for the atmosphere (which is pretty nice... they also got good pics on their website) and the name... getting a table was a bitch. i had the concierge of the 4 seasons call to get a table on a saturday evening it was i guess lol. you would think that they should be able to get a table somewhere around 8... well... long story short. we had dinner at 11:15pm or something.
i was a little pissed but ok...
food was nice though... no complaints

Hit Nobu's but go to the overflow side. More casual and you can actually get seated this year. I like Tavern on the Green but it just appeals to me in that old chintzy NY way. I just saw that Trump hotel on the SW corner of Central park was written up as having great food. I was there for breakfast which rocked but is hard to screw up.

I <3 NY
