This was a test done via TheDoc on his blog...

Shows the thumb, description and title. Leads to a co-branded Wicked Pictures MGP.

Let me know if you have more questions or need anything.

one more thing, you all have SO MUCH killer text to use, like this
http://www.yappo.com/s1/index.php?r=...C0%2C0%2C0%2C0

Quote:
Step right up and view the female mystery of the ages! You're lucky if you can find a girl who can cum like a geyser. Stand back and watch as we find the cutest little babes to show us how it's done. Step back fellas, or you'll get a faceful of liquid female magic. No, this isn't pee. It's girl-cum, California tea, liquid platinum, and these girls can't help but squirt it!
and all that you guys gave us was a single line of text?

Sorry, I should put a note in there that gallery builder templates (which is what that is) can ONLY be used on the default RSS link.

We were unaware that gallery builder was going to work until we had it live. It was a surprise to us as we did not think GB would implement into it easily.

I did the default rss and now I get a blank rss feed

seems like you all aren't ready to launch this yet, not only are the feeds not even close to being ready for bloggers, but I can barely get any of them to work, either they go to a blank rss page or the call galleries that aren't finished

Hey Jace.. They just came out with the feeds, it takes time to put in larger text write-ups into the feeds. At that it's not good to use the text from the site, in rss feeds due to duplicate content filters.

It's also not good to force a keyword text in the feed. Having a possible chance of 100's of blogs, using the same keyword phrase - linking to the gallery is bad. Having the thumbnail linked and a proper name/alt/title wrapped around short or long text ? in relation to other text/relevance on the site builds a stronger relationship with the gallery and lessens the chance of creating your own google bomb.

And the blank feeds, will be cleaned out today - its due to the gallery builder feed types showing up in "all" hosted types..

I do actually apologize for this .. the Gallery Builder was not suppose to be live per se ... those last three galleries.

Because we did not know GB was going to work in this, that is the problem. We are fixing it now.

Thanks for your patience and understanding. The Gallery Builder is where our hold up was and we didn't realize it until it went fully live.

BTW, the three with this text was removed. They will be live later today with proper descriptions.

Thanks~Kristin

I am not going to get into pissing matches. The feeds are good, blog ready and validated. If you want to send suggestions such as more text, please do. I have taken note and will add more text to them over the weekend.

As for the broken images and text....these have been taken care of. I do apologize again and again about the galleries that were broken but it was because of gallery builder. ANY hosted MGPs not through gallery builder fully work with the RSS feed.

Thanks~Kristin

I am going to say one more thing, and leave it at that...I hope you or they don't take this the wrong way....but this is the reason half the programs out there have such crappy feeds

A program does something like this to test out the rss waters, and the feed they test it with is bland, linkless and unusable....so, when they figure out that the response is not that great, they don't pursue it further...when in reality if they had just done it right out of the gate they would have an insane response....i.e. Nubile, MediumPimpin, LootDaddy...

I just get sick of programs doing the bare minimum just so they can announce. WE HAVE RSS!....then ending up surprised because no one uses their feeds

Yappo has great feeds and is clearly improving them... What problem do you have with that?

And that document you linked, is over a year old. And if you don't think google checks for duplicate content - then you are mistaken.

As for the broken images and text....these have been taken care of. I do apologize again and again about the galleries that were broken but it was because of gallery builder. ANY hosted MGPs not through gallery builder fully work with the RSS feed.

Thanks~Kristin
No pissing matches here...do a search on my username, RSS and BLOGS are ALL that I do....from setting them up for programs, to creating a new rss fed blog every day...so, I just like to see things done right...sorry if I came off as "pissing", I didn't mean it that way, but when I don't explain fully how I feel, then people like perfectgonzo keep the crappy feeds they have and wonder why no one uses them

The problem is webmasters think feeds should be created to a unique level for them. My feeds blow ass, simply text and a simple thumb.. yet webmasters use the hell out of them.. If I had better text would more people use them, probably so.. But to say they don't get used or we use RSS feeds just to announce a program isn't true. You can use just a text based feed on a blog, just not yours.

Okay, enough you two!

Jace, I'm working as fast as I can ... I had a lot of people asking for feeds and when we put them live in the webmaster admin, I had to announce it. Due to unforseen errors ... I wish I waited on the post.

I will do better descriptions this weekend ... like I said. More suggestions? PLEASE send them our way. We can only make our program better with suggestions ...

And that document you linked, is over a year old. And if you don't think google checks for duplicate content - then you are mistaken.
you all are taken me the wrong way, I do not have any problems, it is just when I see a feed that no one will use I speak up....I will stop worrying about yappo and keep using other programs, no worries

you might wanna tell cnn, msnbc, yahoo and millions of other sites about the duplicate content myth then, because all those syndicated press articles they post might get them sandboxed

i am done now, i can't wait to see v2 of the feeds, you all are off to a good start, it can only get better

Okay, you were taken a little wrong ... to be honest.

But now that we are on the same page ... you just want people to implement the suggestions rather than blasting they have great RSS feeds and then doing nothing to improve them.

That's not us ... I'm here to optimize, it's not a sales pitch it's the truth. Your suggestions have been taken and are ALREADY being worked on. : )

Thanks~Kristin

glad to see a program willing to work everything, you all have some excellent content in yappo.com that could translate into some INSANE rss feeds, I just hate to see content like this

Well I think I deserve it since I was harassing her for it and she came back to me the same day with it but I didn't check LMAO

cnn, yahoo, ect all have trust rank factors - duplicate content and even spam doesn't effect or mater with them. You can't not possible google bomb them to give you an idea.

I'm not taking you the wrong way - I just don't think its fair that, often you, bash programs for starting out with basic feeds. (even though some clearly suck) Nobody has to start out perfect, no reason for people to do so.

I can tell you what most programs problems are with feeds. Two things.. We have hell keeping good writers (search how many times I have asked for writers) then the extra $10 per gallery. A $20 gallery is now $30, again cutting into the very thin profits galleries have anyway.

I sell the RSS Feed product for NATS, and I don’t hide anything with the clients. I tell them the truth, RSS feeds is another project, an employee. They can be half ass and they will always be half ass – or you put time and money into them, do them correctly, and people will use the hell out of them. But make no mistake, it is a lot of extra work, money, and time.

That is why I jumped back at you, this isn’t a normal job for the program, so its going to take many of us awhile to catch up to the few people doing it really good.

So what we really need is a full service writing company that can take on lots of programs... I personally could send probably 5-10 clients.
