ICM president Stuart Lawley's response, according to Ynot and previous interviews with Computer Business Review, is that this opposition is largely California-based, and that he has had over 1,500 letters of support from the adult industry in 71 countries.

I really want to know which adult companies are supporting this..
I have a gut feeling that two companys in particular are major supporters of it, but I'm not coming out & saying who I "THINK MIGHT BE", but they are registrars & I see no public opposition from them, so they probably support .xxx |

Well, registrars don't count as "major adult content providers". Bob Parsons of GoDaddy publically stated on his blog he is for the .XXX extention. I can't see why any registrar would oppose this TLD or any other TLD considering the landrush of backorders and new registrations and money to be made. That being said, you are probablly right I can think of a few registrars that are likely to be directly involved in this. |

Probablly just a coincidence but ICM registry's office in Jupiter, FL is about 50 miles north on the I-95 from a top 10 ICANN registrar. |
