Epassporte getting into trouble for processing gambling

I hear rumors that Epassporte can get into trouble for processing gambling, I heard it from many sources. I was told that some affiliate programs already stopped paying affiliates with epassporte because they are worried to loose money loaded to their epass account (the programs include but are not limited to GTS, SubmitPass). I make a lot of epassporte payments from my affiliate program and I always keep a lof of money on epass, so I am worried. did you hear anything about these problems?

it's hard for me to believe that such a trusted program like epass would be so stupid

and it seems nobody else heard such rumours here (beside me)

Not good.

I recently offered Epassporte as an option for affiliates to get paid by, but now I am considering not having it. Espescially with the recent problems DukeDollars encountered with it.

I read GFY daily, all threads I remember were about stolen and missing money from the accounts, not about epass and gambling

I hear they kept 250.000 dollars from an honest gambling site.

Also, for example you can use epassporte to deposit money to Absolute Poker.

If they still accept doing business with gambling companies, Us gov will get them down. I hope Chris Mallick will make a statement very soon.

Curacao, Netherland Antilles, however it does not matter, I am sure US gov can kill them even if they will be located on the polar circle

yes I am 100% sure of that, I will not even mention that Chris Malick the owner of epassporte is US citizen, they will jail him sooner or later and epassporte will go down with him

if they can arrest these two:

how hard would it be to arrest as US citizen?

I suppose it depends on how the US law is written....

Epass accounts are normally funded from the US and then those funds are used for gambling.

If the US Law-makers foresaw this loophole then I think they could at least stop people funding Epass accounts via the US banking system.

Epass I am sure have looked into it and know the score better than anyone here.

that they are the last company left doing it should raise some eyebrows.

and if US banks stop allowing companies to load money into their epass accounts a la duke dollars it will be all over anyway.

Its not that the US can touch non-US citizens, or non-US companies - it's that with the current global political situations, it may be the the US justice department makes deals with host nations to disrupt certain types of business since those countires still want US aid money - but don't support the US foreign policies. So, anything is possible in this climate as countires not willing to stand with the US on most policies - but still want the financial aid.

No I'm not. For example, there's no law here in Brazil about 2257 documents (2257 is an american law).

So if the FBI knocked on my door, here in Sao Paulo, asking for 2257 documents I could tell them to go fuck themselves, they could never arrest me.

What they could do is take my sites down if they were hosted on american servers, or even ban my sites from the US (which is easily done).

Let me turn this the other way around.

Porn sites are forbidden in China. Could the Chinese Goverment arrest you because you have a porn site accessible from China?

No they could not, because you live in the US and US laws apply.

They could, and do, ban your site from Chinese access.

Isnt that just a call center?

1000s of US and UK companies have call centers in India - does that mean the Indian Govt can shut down the US company if its business is illegal in India?

It seems to me they could close the call center but no more.....

When Neteller stopped processing for poker sites players scrambled to find an alternative means to fund their accounts. I think epassporte picked up the majority of those customers. I would imagine that the amount of money they are making from adult is a drop in the bucket in comparison.

twoplustwo.com is a huge poker forum that has tons of threads about epass if you want info from the online poker community. I think the biggest lesson everyone can learn from the Neteller debacle is to not leave large amounts of money in your account!

Bad news for the smaller progs that pay Epass......

Dozens of small Epass payments are fine

If I have to go back to wires or even worse checks then I dont want a dozen small ones - Its just not worth it. I will have to push my traffic to one or 2 bigger progs.

Sad, but 100% true. Recent facts:

#1 - CEO of UK gambling site gets owned by the FBI on a TRANSIT stop through the USA

#2 - ex VP (I think) of a gambling site gets owned by the FBI on a transit stop through the USA

#3 - PirateBay

#4 - allofmp3.com

If you think the USA
a) Gives a fuck about anyone else
b) Doesn't think it's world police

then you're sadly, sadly mistaken
