Don't you think sponsors know only about TGP's?

I've rarely seen nice looking blogs or feeds made by some sponsor. Most of the feeds have very poor quality and they are almost unusable. Not to talk about errors in feeds (90% of them are unvalidated)

Do sponsors know only about TGPs?!

That's a very good question, I actually tried to play with some feeds and it only got me frustrated... I guess our feeds are the only ones!

Most affiliate programs were started by TGP owners/submitters, so it makes sense. I think you'll be seeing a revolution in the newer programs coming out. Better tools to capture the newer traffic models.

Blogs are an amazing traffic resource

Umm the affiliate programs that were started by people whom were affiliates first, normally are the ones that "do" have a clue. It's all these big money guys that think they can just throw a bunch of many at something and it will work are normally the ones who put out crap.

Always remember that the more sponsor tools, the more it cuts into the affiliate that can actually produce sales and make a full time living in this business. Having "kick ass" blogs/rss/feeds/etc doesn't mean shit to affiliates that actually make sales, and the ones that do make very little if anything off of them.

Most affiliates that make money in the biz do so without ANY sponsor "tools" except CONTENT.

That is the TRUTH

I tend to agree with that, about the only tools I ever use are FHG's and that's going to slowly come to a stop. Personally I'd rather see them stop giving out stop giving out so many free tools.

It would thin the herd quite a bit.

Interesting point of view and I can see your point. I guess another point to add would be if the Affiliate program is Semi or Fully Exclusive.. That would change things.

I think webmasters need to give affiliate programs a lot more time. First creating a standard coded rss feed isn't that hard, but getting it so it won't have parse errors, formats correctly, and has multi template styles takes a long time.

At that, we did only have TGP's setup.. Very simple desc with a single thumbnail. That's most affiliate programs in a nut shell. So when they come out with RSS feeds it takes a huge amount of time to go through old and new galleries, as well as learning a long the way..

Not like we all just wake up one day knowing what they are, and the perfect way to build them every time. RSS Feeds is an entire new project, new staff, writers, more thumbnails, more expensive galleries in general.

Give us time.

Try these feeds on for size :
http://www.beachmodel.com/free_galle...l&disp_ num=0

2-3 paragraphs of good text and linked keywords and you can choose which size pics you want.

Funny... most FHGs I see out there wouldn't be accepted by most TGPs cause of too many outbound links, crappy content, etc.

So I wouldn't say that sponsors know only about TGPs cause in my opinion, most sponsors don't know shit about TGPs

Your post shows how little you know about either.

FHG are not made for submissions, FHG are made for TGP owners to list on their own TGP's and most of them want to make money with them and therefore are designed in a way to maximise their moneymaking potential.

You should already know this though.

There is only ONE, & I mean only ONE SINGLE PROGRAM, that has their RSS feeds correct. Not one single sponsor out there can match up against Join Right Now as far as feeds go.. NONE

It is not THAT big deal, try to use blogz organizer with affiliate module, order one template, pay to writer to write 20-30 posts, put in db, and you are done with 200-350 bucks, it is one man operation, all you need is some bucks and 1 hour of your time

It is that big of a deal, I need linking codes to pass through the feeds and through the blogs. Most webmasters want auto built codes too, and parse errors from msword has to be built in.. From here, its not 'a blog post'... It's a gallery.

If a gallery costs us $15 for a average one and $20 for a good one. Now we need 4 extra thumbnails-different sizes, and 3-5 descriptions from shorter to longer. Now each gallery is $30-$35 depending on the text size, the detail of the text, if I paid someone to enter the descriptions/thumbnails, uploading, cropping, and/or making the blog posts for me.

And lets not forget, 2, 5, 10, 100 websites is what affiliate programs have. Past galleries, new galleries, different styles of html for blogs, parser scripts, and general webmaster support with the webmasters learning how to use it themselves.

Rss feeds is not a 1 man show.. Not a single sponsor single handed build rss feeds from the ground up, from code, to text, to thumbnails, ect.. It took a team and a group of people test it - to put out these really good feeds.

Now when you say like this I see my mistake
But maybe is better to serve just one picture (leading to tour) with 2-3 lines of txt?
I use fhg and just one picture in my blog network, both methods work similar ;)

the best way is to use one good looking thumb with ALT tag (320x200 or even better 300x220) and around 100 words for a post (it's very similar to gallery text). post texts have to be built on keywords and at least one link with affiliate code, with the proper anchor text. that's all...
