its only a good movie if you do all the research to find out why it was supposed to be a good movie - hence the fruit cakes comment.

for instance the first few notes of the song thats played during the first explosion scene make a V. I guess you could say its full of easter eggs.

Already a classic film! Art imitating life. Not too far off from what is happening now.

Exactly. You need a bit of intelligence to understand the movie. If you have none then you won't like it.

I think I just got called smart...LOL

Read up on the Law of Fives when you finish the movie. Also Guy Fawkes, Faust, and the modern image of Satan (pointy beard and mustache), Beethoven's
Fifth, the history of November, it goes on forever.

The fifth letter of the alphabet is E for Evey

so yeah...roll a fatty.

it's a good movie, if you like to think about films.

if your brand of entertainment involves the direction of kevin smith, probably not your thing.

I really liked the movie, but I can't stand when people use this as a reason for someone not liking a movie. For example: I can't stand Donnie Darko. I hate Jake G and I hate everything Drew B has ever been in, save ET. This movie, along with butterfly effect, were not "deep". There wasn't anything to "get" that wasn't explained. Just because you don't like shit movies doesn't mean you don't understand them. Yarghhhh!

thinking a movie is bad != lack of understanding. Sometimes movies are just bad or you don't like them. Just because a moron thinks something is deep, it does not make the movie deep.

ok, that still isn't good logic.
maybe the one who thinks that the moron who thinks a movie is deep is a moron is really the moron who lacks understanding of the movie.

or

if a moron thinks a bad movie is deep, then what is a supposed smart person called who thinks a good movie is bad?

Discerning, but its all relative to one's tastes. A moron is still a moron despite whatever depth they ascribe to a movie.

That reminds me of that movie Elephant. There was something to "get" but I never got it. I just assumed it went over my head. But you know what...it was just a dumb ass retelling of a school shooting.
