with transfers at 0.25$ a pop, 35$ annual doesn't seem much to me.

but, hey, some people want it for free. You can't blame them.

You must have one hell of a shitty bank.

My Visa is $50 CAD a year. I get 2% cashback, several different insurances including car rental insurance (saves me $25 - $50 when I rent a car) and no transaction fees.

ANNUAL means EVERY YEAR. Doesn't matter how long the card is good for.
Your card could be good for 10 years, if they charge an ANNUAL fee then EVERY YEAR you will get charged that fee.

The most expensive one is the American Express cc/account...go figure eh?

Good to know your bank is cheap but its not like im going to open an account on it or something (your post gave a "in your face" vibe )

As far as Epass, it is the cost of doing business. As far as banks. Fuck banks. Go credit union.

Epassporte is not 100% perfect and neither are the banks, but for me the convienience of being able the move money instantly for 25cents and access my money via ATM make it a great product in my book.

I just hope Mallick & Co. remain solvent...
