State Of The Industry with Legendary Lars?

I just noticed this on the Phoenix Forum seminar list....seems kind of weird that someone runs a company that funds piracy on all levels is being asked to tell us what the state of OUR industry is

AFF funding the piracy of BangBrosOnline content - http://www.btmon.com/torrent/bang%20bros

AFF funding the piracy of New Sensations content - http://www.btmon.com/Porn/Unsorted/J...s.torrent.html

and we all know about shooshtime
http://www.shooshtime.com/

and of course, how could they not fund the stealing of paysite passwords also
http://www.ultrapasswords.com/

Next year will we have "How to maximize your advertising dollar - presented by Zango, Inc."?

That is kind of odd. They are on virtually every torrent, file sharing, password site on the web. The links you posted is just a small sample. Look at empornium.us and others that have them and others being promoted.

Sometimes I wonder about seminars. They should have Jace doing a blog seminar.
I don't think they wan't people to know the real state of the industry.

yeah, I find it VERY odd that someone that basically funds the theft of others work is going to tell others about the state of OUR industry....I may be wrong though, but I would love to hear what others think

I happened upon an endless loop of "crackz" websites/popups early today, all had AFF ads on them.

This whole industry is like that. It's like an old boys network at the top. The rules don't apply and there is a lot of looking the other way.

Reminds me of politics.

Will be interesting to see if anyone asks any tough questions about it. I don't think you'd have to be rude, but simple asking him about content theft and affiliate id theft and the role they play in the future would be pertinent. He does have more knowledge on the topic than anyone else on the board I'd imagine.

But I'm sure it won't be asked. Too many "bros" around and "free beers and handshakes" awaiting them.

haha, that's hilarious... if theres problems with the "state of the industry" he's somewhere on the list. Scumbags that support infecting people with spyware/adware and turn a blind eye to affiliates using stolen content give the whole industry a bad name.

panels are dog and pony shows, no offense to anyone that sits on them, but why in an industry that we all know how it is behind the scenes, and how everyone stabs anyone for a nickel, would anyone in their right mind tell you traffic secrets and how to's about any fucking thing. i don't need my views of this industry in their pristine crystal gloryness obscured by anyone.

i only attend seminars that are about things like billing where the billing companies tell you how to better utilize your accounts and such.

If this is what they want us to do, why bother arguing? Make money stealing content with AFF. Intercept affiliate codes too, as long as you get yours. Look at all the people arguing in favor of these practices on this forum. If it's ok with them, why shouldn't it be just fine for every other webmaster or newbie? That's the message.

its amazing because if you go to mainstream shows ,they have speakers that actually tell you things that can make you money. They are not infomercials.

I'm on the same panel - if given the oppotunity to actually speak, I'll share some things that will make people money. Come on out, let's make it real!

While we are getting on our soap boxes, it couldn't hurt to remember we are all using a board which earns money from AFF/Cams advertising and which is their primary vehicle for what passes as affiliate marketing.

There isn't much about this industry which does bear looking at too closely...

If your doing business great, what sites do you own, what content is yours, etc...but most of the whiners couldn't send a dozen sales in week and don't even own their own server... It was more of general statement to those we give credibility to these days over people who are making money...

State of the industry is simple: AFF and Cams are doing many people and companies up the pooper and you don't even know it.

Not hard to figure that out.

my wife and I own 2 sites and thats all we do for our living. As you know making content costs money, classes upgrading skills, upgrading equipment, traveling to shoot, models. This is my sweat and then someone is giving it away is bad enough, then to find people in my own industry financially supporting this behavior pisses me off. There is enough money to be made without fucking anybody.
