attention bloggers : using sponsor rss feeds

since i've read this from other forum

Quote:
If you're a new guy on the block and are thinking of using your blog and getting some hot RSS feeds to make some money, you need to consider this:

I just spent the day trying to find some quality RSS feeds and this is what I found:

1. Some feeds are not passing your affiliate number. That means that you might have your affiliate number in your RSS feed link citation but by the time the surfer gets to the join page, one of three things might have happened:

A.) The affiliate number completely disappears
B.) The affiliate number is not your but rather someone else?s'
C.) The credit is given to the signup page of the sponsor rather then any affiliate

2. Be sure and check the blog pages from the sponsor. Some of the pages are loaded with links to other sponsors that are not using your affiliate number. The sponsors who have links on their pages are passing the surfer to other sponsors using their affiliate numbers... thus taking your traffic and using it for their own affiliate work.

3. Some of the RSS feeds really look great. Others look like shit. If you think it looks like shit with the description on the left and the thumbs scattered all over the page... there is a good chance your surfers will think so too. The surfer might stay.... might convert... but then again, he might decide never to visit your crappy looking blog again. So make it look good.

4. Lastly, put a little thought into a color scheme. If the site looks like a psychedelic nightmare or is so dark (implying it is forbidden), it is probably not going to convert too well.

5. Finally (really) be sure to go back and check that the links actually work as intended and that you have put the right affiliate number in your links. You'll be surprised to find that you may have written the wrong affiliate number for the sponsor!
how to you test your sponsor rss feeds if you are getting credit with the sale? since a lot of sponsor have different linking system etc.. like cam sponsors with rss feeds. trying to check if my id is carried in the join page but no luck. clicks are tracked though.. what do you think about this? thanks
