Planning a Europe trip, need advice (Croatia, Italy, Spain)
Ok the trip will be in Sept.
Croatia (Dubrovnik) 5.5 days Italy (Venice, Rome) 4.5 days Spain (Barcelona) 4.5 Need to know a few things. 1) How long a drive is it from Dubrovnik to Venice 2) Is Venice a cool place to stop for 1-2 days or just go straight to Rome 3) How far is the drive from Venice to Rome? - Thinking a cool road trip through Croatia and Italy could be fun 4) What are the local airlines in Italy or Spain to fly out of, need URL's also 5) How does Euro Rail work to get around on trains, what pass do we need for Dubrovnik to Rome or Venice Any help would be apreciated. thanks in advance. |

Dave;
I canhelp you out with a few of your questions. 2) Venice is a very cool place; wandering around for 1-2 days is perfect. Avoid the 'touristy' places along the main canal, and get lost in the back alleys and waterways. 5) EuroRail seems complicated if you haven't used it before. I'd suggest you go to a local (here) travel agent, and have them figure it out. You may pay a bit more, but their advise is worth it. And, Italians trains are hit and miss; some are excellent, others truly awful.
