IRS = Government and Gov't > you

law or no law, the government will always win. remember this is their money that is not getting paid to them.

maybe there is no law that says you must pay taxes, but im sure there is a law that states you must file a tax report and if line 154 is greater than line 153 you must pay that difference

whats comical about this is not that they are totally insane and probably need psychiatric care... but that this is done constantly and constantly people lose and go to jail/lose their property trying to make this argument. i bought my first car from a guy who had similar beleifs. he went to jail and was totally shocked that "the man" would do that to him and the people didn't rise up in support of him.

While they are totally nuts, I do have a real problem with being an expat, living abroad, and STILL having to pay taxes to the US gov. Big problem.

Ya and then they discovered what a great revenue generator it was. And now the United States is the wealthiest society on earth with more millionaires and billionaires per capita than anywhere else. It is also the most technically advanced society on the planet.

If you don't like paying taxes, as a free citizen of the united states you can leave and never come back.

PS I'm not american but I am annoyed by stupid people.

p.s. for those who think this doesnt work it does.

Wesley Snipes ( black actor ) filed to get all his tax money back ( millions ) by using the defense that tax laws are illegal ( and got all his money back )

p.s. he also got arrested for it years later .

Who owns the Federal Reserve and why do we allow the Federal Reserve to continue to control our entire economy?

The real answer to this question is that the Federal Reserve is like a big Mafia loan shark. It owns America in the same way a loan shark owns his "clients!" There is absolutely no difference between the two, according to author Jim Marrs' 1990 book, Crossfire.

No matter what the situation, whenever there is news related to the Federal Reserve, a big, loud coordinated, conspiratorial lie of omission is committed by every single news outlet in our nation.

What is this lie? It is keeping up the false impression that the Federal Reserve is part of our government. "The Fed," as it is sometimes called, is a private for-profit bank that controls our government and our economy. They control the money supply, inflation, depressions, recessions, etc.

They are not accountable to Congress, the Executive branch or anyone in government.

That's why this man's name alone, Alan Greenspan, former chairman of the Federal Reserve, commands such attention in the media and on Wall Street. Greenspan "winks," and America shakes. Greenspan "smiles," and investors go wild.

Since most citizens, taxpayers and voters don't follow the tedious details of economics – public or private – our founding fathers were hoodwinked before they framed the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights.

What country in its right mind would create a system that would force it to lend itself money and have to repay the money with INTEREST? What country would charge itself interest?

What nation would put itself out of business by making it bankrupt because of interest?

The answer is none!

America is not charging itself interest on its debt. The privately owned "central bankers" are doing this and they are hiding in plain sight!

Congress (with the exception Congressman Ron Paul of Texas), every U.S. president and every single member of the corporate media are either part of the conspiracy or just plain stupid!

Two presidents tried to stop this outrage – and they were both assassinated.
Abraham Lincoln and John F. Kennedy

While its interesting to look into - there was an amendment to the US Constitution ( the 16th) which authorized the collection of taxes - where most people get around this requirement (and there are some that do not pay taxes in the US) is that the 5th Amendment requires 3/4 of the states to ratify any amendment to the constitution.

At the time there were 48 states - and it was announced that at least 36 states had ratified it so it got added based on the Secretary of States announcement at the time saying that the ratification had happened

Unfortunately the Secy of State at the time lied - in reality only two states had ratified the amendment as written - and at least 4 of the 36 required that they used as proof had voted down the amendment according to their own voting records in-state (those states being Kentucky, Oklahoma, California and Minnesota I believe)

So when these people say that there really isnt a law - while there is an amendment they are basically saying that its an illegal law - which is probably correct and some of the loudest out there are not approached by the IRS even though theyve never paid taxes

good stuff and very true ;

The US Government cannot account for trillions of dollars. The DoD reported $1.1 trillion missing in FY 2000 alone!

What does this mean?

Trillions of dollars in "unsupported adjustments" means trillions of dollars unaccounted for. What's going on? Where is the money? How could this happen? Where are the checks and balances? How much more has gone missing? Is this happening in the other government agencies too? What would happen if a corporation failed to pass an audit like this? Or a taxpayer? Who is responsible for this? Who can we trust to fix it? ... see Frequently Asked Questions and Who's in Charge? for details.

Do what I say and not what I do...wtf...

Breaking Updated News - Just for your information that is an incorrect statement (#1) - there have been many cases where the government has lost and hasnt appealed - one of those was very famous a few years back since the guy went on to run for congress (he lost though)

Has nothing to do with retardation - has to do with risk and reward - and if someone has the ability to fight it they have a chance of winning - although I certainly personally dont have the resources

"risk vs reward"?

are you serious?

i personally consider the loss of all my property and my freedom for the rest of my life to be a pretty big risk.

what is the reward?

that i got away with not paying my share of taxes i owe which make the country function.. and that i did it at everyones else's expense?

PleasurePays - while you are correct in "most" cases - it is not always true - so dont act like it is

Im sure there are many Americans that think that they shouldnt have to support certain things that the government does with their money - and some of them win their cases - and some lose - like I said - its a matter of what each individual decides to do with their own life - NOT what you decide is best for every person inthe country just because its your opinion

YOU made the remark that it is about "risk vs reward" - thats completely silly by any measure. it is not my opinion that its a poor risk... its a simple statement of fact. of course anyone is free to roll the dice and see what happens. i don't care if people do. that doesn't have any bearing on teh fact that the arguments themselves are old and those that use them go to prison all the time. the first car i ever bought was from a guy who used all these same arguments. i bought the car for a fraction of its worth because he was forced to liquidate everything he owned to pay his taxes and penalties and still went to prison.

i am not arguing that no one has ever beat the federal government. that doesn't make it a good risk just because a person has an issue with authority and is totally detached from reality. your chance of beating them for blatent tax evasion i would imagine are almost zero... and the arguments used are old, been to court many times, been upheld many times etc etc. its not like its something new.

in case you missed it - here are all the common arguments by tax protestors and the federal governments view on each of them, citing court cases and rulings.

http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-utl/friv_tax.pdf

"opinion" doesn't play into this at all.
