This list is much more to my liking

Currently listening to the L.A. Symphony - Disappear Here album. I don't really have individual songs to recommend because I base an artist's success on an album, not on a song.

I think the new Roots album is a good example of a well-rounded, complete album. Two others that come to mind are Jurassic 5 - Quality Control and Binary Star - Masters of the Universe

Blackalicious - The Craft is an album for people who are not hip hop fans, since it's mainly upbeat and slightly "pop-y" at times.

Most of the rap on TV is about that shit. For some reason the shit about guns, hoes & cars sells better than the hardcore reality based hip hop.

Plus most TV channels are too pussy to play the real stuff

i think you will find that the vast majority of good rappers (and i mean lyrically good not just popular) dont promote that shit, so my friend i must come to the conclusion that your are a dick who feels the need to come along and spout crap on a subject you know nothing about.

I dont watch mtv or bet or any music on television for that matter. I think this new wave of "rap" is pretty trashy. There are a few token bangers I enjoy, but its really more facetiously than seriously.

It seems the easier it is to find the "hip hop", the shittier it is. I haven't listened to the radio in a hell of a long time because of that.

Underground Hip Hop >>>>> the shit you hear on the radio or MTV

You obviously don't listen. Only the recent few jackasses started doing that shit.
For the first 10 or so years rap was peaceful, and non violent.
And a lot of it was comical.
Anybody remember Biz Markee,
"Oh baby you...got what I neeyeed. But you say he's just a friend, but you say he's just a friend..OH BABY YOU...!"

Madvillain - Madvillainy
Mikah9 - American Nightmare
Atmosphere - any album especially Lucy Ford
Not to forget the La Symphony Crew. Great music and hard to get over here in germany like every other underground/indie rap music

...and many more.
No Freestyle Fellowship anywhere in the list, but a Mikah 9 and Aceyalone fan nonetheless... I demand answers!

And I feel the same about Atmosphere, but I'd say, "Especially You Can't Imagine How Much Fun We're Having"
