I just started playing in a league for the summer. I'd love to find some other webmasters that are down for putting a bocce ball contest together at a future show.

I hear ya. I'm totally addicted now. I played a little last year as a sub but went full out this summer and started my own team.

Does that mean you are down for some bocce? I'll be in LA visiting the crew soon ... I'd love to put something casual together. Maybe include a BBQ

I love it. Used to play it all the time at the Chicago parks. And we do everytime we're on a vacation on a beach. Beach Bocce ball rocks! I'd be down for some boccee ball comps at future shows.

I played with my late Italian-American grandfather and an older friend of the family when I was a child but not since then.

I play all the time, we dont have teams though. We play at the beach on the sand.

Its funny the name "bocce" because everytime i see it i say "whats that" then i remeber its bocce ball not bachi ball

that sounds more like bowling...bocce ball doesn't require a lane, you can play on sand or grass or whatever really. it's fun! i remember my freshman year french class we had to interpret a paragraph about bocce ball and with a bunch of 14 year olds interpretting anything about "balls" of various sizes was hilarious.

the game i still love! (i happen to know there's another pink-haired person around here who has an entire family of bocce ball lovers too....)
