Just saw 28 Weeks Later, what a fuckin waste of time

The first movie -- 28 Days Later -- was just a masterpiece! Before it, I never thought I'd like a non-Romero zombie movie. It was just different & very entertaining.

Now as for this

SPOILERS

Britan is being restored, 15k people arrive at a new location where every zombie died

One girl turns out to be infected because she had a gene thing that made her the carrier

She bites her husband

Everything goes wrong

Happy End.

That just seems kind of default to me.

I disagree. I thought it was a pretty decent movie. The first 5 minutes alone is worth the price of admission.

I loved the first and will see the second when it opens here. I have heard mixed things about the second, make up my own mind I guess.

Happy ending? Did we see a different movie? Was that not a bunch of infected people storming through Paris? And presumably on to the rest of mainland Europe and beyond?

I'll be watching it, bad reviews or not. I like anything even remotely post-apocalyptic.

I really enjoyed it. It wasn't as good as the first one and I could have done with less jumpcuts, but overall, it was a great horror/action flick.

and how great was the subwaytunnel/night vision scope scene?

My wife and I saw it last week and loved it - but then again - we have a weird thing for zombies.

I'm one of those people that actually took the time to read the Zombie Survival Guide.

I agree totally. Can you imagine how cheap that scene was... but it worked perfectly.

That's called smart movie making.

Hey I'm not saying it's a ground-breaking ending, but you certainly wouldn't call it a happy ending. Disastrous comes to mind.

well the first one was, as i understand an indie and part 2 was not. also 28 days blew my mind and 28 weeks did not. but like previously mentioned the first 5 minutes are worth the price of admission

I enjoyed this one, just not as much as the first one. I looked at it as the middle movie in a trilogy. Hopefully 28 months later will be better.
