Looking for a nice new car. What should I get?

Im looking for a new car for my wife. Looking for lomething nice.. But not too nice! Did I mention it was for my wife? lol.

I was eyeing the Lexus IS 300, The Mitsubitshi Galant GTZ, BMW 3 series, Or Benz C class.

Naturally I am really looking at the GTZ for her, and picking up one of the others for myself next year!! We both agree no accords, or camarys, cause every bastard has one. Passats are too spendy for the car, an I dont want too spend much unless it is for something with a good name.. Did I mention it was for my wife?

So no Prowler, Corvette, Viper reconmendations. Those are for me when I wanna replace my Vette.

Whats good out there?

BMW 330xi. Manual transmission.
I'm not a fan of the 3 series "sport" steering wheels, so I would avoid the 2 door models.

Porsche Boxster (thumbs up)

Lexus is just toyota +$5000 (blah)

Some of those mercedes (kompressor) look really nice (CLK-320 ? )

For an SUV, those things handle really well at 110mph.

Bone,

Just anything but a SUV. As a Los Angeleno, I hate those fuckers, Everyone has one. Can't see over them on the road. Gas guzzlin' environmental hazards! Hate 'em with a passion. These city folk have no reason to have one except to make me pull over on narrow streets to let their arrogant, monstrous, useless vehicles pass by me without wiping me out.

Anything but a SUV I implore you

If you live in the city, I would recommend an SUV. They're good for cutting people off, and they tip real easy. Plus you get two parking spaces where ever you go. Here in LA, parking can be scarce so that's a big bonus. LOL

No, actually I hate them. SUV owners just love to play "hogs of the road." Bastards!

Didn't you mention once that your wife was a truck driver? So buy her a truck. I think Peterbilt is running a sale this week.

Damn That Lincoln LS is DA BOMB..
Ive always liked that car.. Ive liked it alot.
It was Road and Tracks car of the year a year or so back.

But they are spendy is the only thing.. With the amount they ask you could go Benz, Lexus, Or BMW, not that they are better cars, because that Lincon is the best in its class, but becuse of name recognition alone, the BMW, Lexus, and Benz are more appealing.

Don't be cheap, stump up for the new Lex SC430 drop top. If she leaves you you can keep the car and use it to pick up a new chick.

Get her a 2-door Lexus 96 or newer; good quality, sporty with just a hint of luxury. Too small for kids and too nice for her too complain.

First off, a prowler is not worthy enough to be in the same sentence as vettes n vipers!

if you go for a 96 2 door lex like dank said.. get the sc400 and bring it here to chicago to add some 'kiCk' to it.. i own a modification shop.. the project my crew has been working on right now is customizing and tweaking a 95 supra twin turbo engine and custom fitting it into the sc400.. giving it a 0-60 in about 4 gotta love speed chief! but you'll probably end up driving it more than wifey
