wtf is wrong with achbill.com (WTS)?!?!?!

I requested a simple change of the bank account number they have on file for sending me wires. The bank i use for them, switched from standart numeric acc numbers to IBAN ones.

So i needed just that changed, everything else like name, adress and so on stays the same.

They want me to fill whole page of stuff, put it in envelope and mail it (yeah real life post office shit) to them.....

um, we are 21 century, right? We work on the net and we use fancy things like computers, scanners, E-mails, even the old shool faxes are still a good option for that.....

But they want hard paper copy in paper envelope which would travel like a week or two and is very easy to get lost. Which is pretty much great way to fool someone around for ever and not pay him.

I dont want to sound like an asshole, but isnt that too much hassle for simple task like that? In the most places you can just log-in and edit that info for a second...or send single email and get it done

I actually just opened a new account with them and they wanted the same thing. I think its more of a "we want a hard copy signature" than trying to jerk you around.

i have account with them for years
all that is perfectly ok for openiing account

but not for simple change of the account number
especially when all the other info like name and stuff stays the same

and the other thing is that im not gonna use them anymore, i just want to empty my account and forget about them

so its even less worth the hassle for just getting a single wire....

Unfortunately, many financial institutions will not sway on getting a hardcopy from you. Its not worth the risk to them. Someone can go back and say they never authorized those changes and sue for the funds.

I had to request the same thing from many of my merchants when I was in the online gaming industry. I had to have a signed document from the companies signatory with the new info/wiring instructions before they could be used.

Bucksmania -

We have merchants that request these type of changes on a regular basis and never seem to have a problem providing the needed documents. How it typically works, is that the merchant faxes (or emails) signed documents, WTS makes the changes, then sometime later we receive hard copies of those documents in the mail for our records. This is done for everybody's protection! I looked at your correspondence in this regard and nowhere did WTS state that it needed hard copies of these docs in order to make the change. In fact, I find quite ironic that TO DATE, we haven't seen ANY completed documents from you in this regard! So, until we receive proper documentation to make a banking change.... your money will be safe right here with us!

CYA!
