![]() I've been watching this case for a long time now, and the Supreme Court just made its ruling on it:
http://www.cnn.com/2007/LAW/06/25/fr...ech/index.html Important things to note (some of which aren't mentioned in the article). 1. The student was 18 years old, so wasn't a minor. IE no en loco parentis issues. 2. The student SKIPPED SCHOOL that day. He did not attend the event along with his teachers. He went on his own. 3. The student was on PUBLIC property, not school property. Seriously a bad bad BAD BAD decision. But what the hell I guess I should have expected it, considering the court is now led by a George Bush clown posse. ![]() |

And just for fun, the the Supreme Court has also decided that taxpayers don't have the standing to challenge the president on his "Faith Based Initiatives" either:
http://www.cnn.com/2007/POLITICS/06/...tus/index.html This country's going to hell. |

This joker's time is limited... and our country has a pretty amazing way of bouncing back and balancing itself...
Hold on to your briches... everyone keep up whatever fights they need too... and the sky will keep from falling for at least another few days... ![]()

That is a seriously screwy majority decision.
And why in the hell does CNN still try to unleash multiple pop up ads on their website? Thats so 1999..

I am all for Free Speech but this kid is a fucking idiot. Its one thing to carry that sign elsewhere but to do it right outside your school is stupid, the kid even said he did it to get back at the principal for being punished in the past and then he turned it into this hole free speech shit.
If he was carrying around a sign that said "Lynch all blacks" or "death to the jews" or "Gays arn't human" you would totally support the courts decision. I think we all have a right to say what we want to say but come on he was outside his school. This was no free speech act this was a punk kid trying to show off.
