:stoned Buying traffic... Earn, Lose or Break Even? Is it worth it anymore?

I'm curious what all of you think on this topic.
To buy or not to buy. That is the question.

If you buy traffic, do you earn a significant return, do you break even usually or do you lose money?

Would your time be better spent actively seeking quality members at various resources, blogs, SEs / SEO, forums, building a site network etc..., over spending money for gallery spots and TGP traffic?

Inquiring minds want to know.

I would say to growing your own traffic organically is the way to go. Bliggo.com / Phraselinks.com can help in this regard. See sig, or icq me (in location) if you want more info on how it works.

I've pulled small profits with purchased traffic.

However, a good rule of thumb is that if someones selling traffic, its because THEY couldn't make a profit from it, so odds are you won't either.

I guess this comes down to a more "age-old" question of "Quality or Quantity".

Granted you could always take the stance of "Do it all", but this requires work and money. Which of course is the best option, however, seperating the quality and quantity, I'm curious what people think is more important to building a successful traffic pool of traffic & members.

I would ask what is the long term goal?

Steady streams of traffic that is reliable or Heeps of traffic at once.

However a network of sites controlled by the program provides many tools other than just self sustaining traffic.

One such tool is athe ability to conduct tests on what works and what does not on beta tours or beta campaigns. WHich when combines with traffic purchases builds the network and gets the max out of return traffic from traffic purchasing.

Dont let surfers fool ya, if they like what they see they return to the sites.
And thats the key to good traffic building.

Very true and a nice way of putting it.

The easiest think in this business is getting traffic, the hardest thing is making a profit from it.

LOL if its good traffic sending it to a decent sponsor is guranteed income.

Like I said, if the traffic is for sale, its because the owner knows he can make more selling it to YOU then sending it to a sponsor.

Some traffic is worth it, other traffic is not.

Just a matter of being able to find it. It's becoming increasingly difficult.
