My favorite exchange in one of those skits has got to be...
Trebek - "This is the sound a doggy makes..." Connery - "Moo" Trebek - "I'm sorry, that is not correct" Connery - "Well, that's the sound your mother made last night!" *Reynolds gibberish* Trebek - "No! Good Lord! We would've accepted 'bow-wow' or 'ruff'!" Connery - "Ah, ruff. Just the way your mother likes it, Trebek!" Followed closely by... Trebek - "Let's start with French Stewart, who's grinning like an idiot. Look pretty sure of yourself... think you've got the right answer?" Stewart - "Yes, I'm pretty sure of it, Alex." Trebek - "Well all you had to do is write down a number... and you wrote... 'Threeve'. *Pause* A combination of three and five. *Pause* Simply stunning. And you wagered Texas with a dollar sign next to it. ($Texas) |
