Oprah is also a hypocrite. She had one of those "teen model" site performers on her show a couple years ago. The kind that isn't CP, but really pushes the limits. Oprah seemed very intrigued by the amount of money she was making and pretty much stuck up for her and her families decision to have the site. She could have very easily took a hard stance against it with the child protection advocate they also had on, but time and time again she implied how the site wasn't that big of a deal and that the girl was saving college money because of it.

It has come to my attention that Oprah made remarks accusing American adult entertainment producers of traveling to Asia after the tsunami to produce child porn. These accusations are totally unfounded, and the statements were irresponsible in that they further spread fears of an often misunderstood industry.

I am not aware of a single child porn production case involving a legitimate adult entertainment producer. Child porn production consists of "underground" one man operations. These criminals simply are not welcome in the adult entertainment industry.

You may not know this, but the adult online industry raised hundreds of thousands of dollars in donations in order to aid the victims of the tsunami. Pornography is an industry like any other, and the vast majority of those who are involved in it are good law abiding citizens who despise child pornography and abuse as much as you do. Check with the ASACP for the statistics they maintain on child pornography reports. Less than 1/10th of 1% of the reports are related to a legitimate adult business. We do not want children, either as visitors or performers, on our sites. All parents should take responsibility to monitor their children and know what they are doing. Anyone allowing their children to appear in provocative poses and situations, even if they are clothed, should have those children taken from their custody. The idea that this industry reacted in such a despicable manner to the tsunami disaster is both ignorant and incorrect. I resent your categorization of all members of the adult industry being child pornographers. I sincerely hope that you will investigate the facts and publicly retract your comment with an apology. It has come to my attention that Oprah made remarks accusing American adult entertainment producers of traveling to Asia after the tsunami to produce child porn. These accusations are totally unfounded, and the statements were irresponsible in that they further spread fears of an often misunderstood industry. I am not aware of a single child porn production case involving a legitimate adult entertainment producer. Child porn production consists of "underground" one man operations. These criminals simply are not welcome in the adult entertainment industry.
