people that REALLY know about RSS, Google ets, I have a Q for you

this is what I think (mainstream project):

- register one domain
- install MU wordpress - that is basically wordpress that gives you a separate blog on a subdomain, so I can have blogs like recipe.mydomain.com, cars.mydomain.com, celebs.mydomain.com and so on
- every single blog gets its content from at least 5 different feeds
- I exchange NO links (simply because I can't imagine anybody wanting to exchange links with a scraper site for this is what this is)
- the site grows to tens of thousands of blogs and many pages

Q:
- what will happen to that site? will Google send me a few clicks to each blog? Few clicks times 10 000 or more blogs = not so bad
- Google will ban the domain and ALL the subdomains

basically if this can be automated (and I know it can) I can have a money making machine in a couple of days

if I get some serious suggestions, advices, answers form you and I decide to give this project a go I'll share the results with you

how will Google know that I'm not the next blogger or thumbblogger?

even when they were quite new they were growing much faster than most sites (I assume)

They won't, and that comment is going to come back to haunt him the next time he pretends to know the space.

This is exactly what I do on one of my sites using Autoblogger Pro, and every sub domain in one update went to pr5 and traffic is building very fast now.

Google isn't as scary as you think, and you're dead on with the "another blogger" example.

when it comes to adult I know I shouldn't have a problem. I tried it and it works,
although I ised FGH + description + thumb to make my posts instead of RSS

my main fear (when talking about mainstrem) is that I put a lot of work getting the feeds, setting up the whole thing, and then Google bans all the subdomains.

One possible reason for this to happen is if quite a few people complain that I'm stealing their content. Many sites have RSS feeds but they don't want to see them used on other sites, they provide them for their readers I guess, and once they see that I'm pulling content from them they can complain to Google which can get me into trouble???

I have 5 mainstrem sites that are RSS fed only, no original content whatsoever, never swapped a single link, one got banned and its nowhere to be found, the other four are getting like 20 search hits per MONTH but if you do this on a big enough scale you can end up making a buck or two

You may get your pages listed on Google, possibly, but they will be listed very low and the project will have mostly bot traffic and that will burn your bandwidth and earn you very little money.

My networks (blogs) are mainstream and I've never had a problem. As for dupicate content fears (re: using rss feeds) ths is exactly what my service feedpushers can help with. I'm posting with my phone and about to hit the sack, but feel free to hit me up later on ICQ and I'll give you some advice on how to effectively build the network.

HAHA! auto complete on the phone plus being tired equals silliness. I meant to say feedspinners not feedpushers. feedpushers is for affiliate programs. Feedspinners is for anyone using autoblogging software to create sites using feeds or their own custom post templates among other things.

I also forgot to mention that ABPSA will have a feedspinner (multiple rewrites) built in as well as the snazzy new linkspinner (multiple relinker).

I need sleep. Hit me up later on Antonio and I'll try help as best I can.

bandwidth is not a problem, as I said I have a few sites that are 100% RSS fed, they basically get the same traffic, just opened the stats for one of them - 22 searches from Google this month, bandwith burned $0.0018, 10 000 sites like that will burn $18.00 and make about $600.00 which (in theory) leaves me with $582.00 profit

if I can automate this I can have 10 similar domains set up in no time (I have 3 idle PCs right now that can add blogs n feeds 24/7). The site in question has been up for a few months and has 1200 posts, the searches are very real, not just google bot, they are like "honey+sesame+shrimp", "comanche+cooking+recipes", "raisin+cream+cheese+dip" and so on (its a food recipe site)

I would never condone stealing content from other sites (scraping or otherwise) but there is a way you can do this that will possibly avoid dup. content penalties, DMCA complaints and not steal (at least not completely steal).

If you are using RSS feeds from other sites, then you can pull a section of an article and put a full linkback a the end of the post. Obviously, you'd need some custom code to grab the first 200-250 words neatly and then post a "For the full article go here"-type link.

This could also include using Feedspinners as Chio suggested.

There are some advantages to doing it this way and of course, what blogger would complain about a free link back? Depending on who you ask, the OBLs won't necessarily hurt your rankings and may improve them - assuming quality of blogs you get your feeds from and relevancy.

Anyhow, just an AM thought

what I'm thinking of doing is in no way stealing IMO, on the 5 or so sites I have so far I use their RSS feeds which means they have willingly provided part of their content for syndication, on my site every single post ends with "..read more" that links to the full post on their site

Autoblogger Pro includes source links by default on each post. They can be edited using the source link editor but I don't recommend removing them.

You could also include a random "intro" paragraph (customized by you) using one of the power user features to place some text before the post (ie I found this interesting post over at :attributed site. This is all handle by the software using variables and is pretty easy to do.

You can also create outro text using the same feature.

I find it's a little more natural then a straight attribution link.
