There have been times where I don't come here for a few months and the whole set of people has changed.

It's DEFINITELY not the same as when Tanker and Wizzo worked there, back when GFY started.

It's hard to keep up with the real people, the slackers, the trolls, and the fake nicks anymore. But I try.

I miss reading you and Pro, and I'll always miss [Labret] I forget, was it you that was making 2 mil a year? or was that Pro? See.. It's hard to keep track of the old crowd anymore.

Two years ago my grandmother passed away. I left home and did not ever see my family much in the 10 years I lived in Porn Valley, California. It really fucked me up and made me think about where I was in life more, where I was going, and what I needed to do.

Much has changed about me. I no longer eat meat, am way more healthy and take care of myself, I do not drink every day the way I used to, i try not to be negative about anything anymore.... i could go on and on.

I sold or gave away belongings and moved out of LA. Moved back to my hometown to spend much needed time with my family, got married before I left, buying a house now etc...

much has changed since the "Fletch living in apartment in the valley hanging with coked up porn sluts and rockers every day."

I am a much more positive person and make better decisions. When I was drunk every day I let myself run wild for a very long time. I partied every day and LA lifestyle put 20 years on my body.

im not even sure why im posting all this.... just take my word for it, I am not the same old Fletch. I think im a much better person now.

I read a book one time that said man will never be successful until he finds his purpose in life, without going into it, I now have that purpose, and actually want to live more than die these days if that makes any sense.

Is my life together? Much more than it was... i walked the edge for more than a decade with not caring about taxes, life, nothing... so yes, its on its way to being MUCh more together than it was.

Yeah, I've been here 4 years now, and even I can't believe how much this board has changed.

I enjoyed reading your post too Fletch. I still don't have a porpouse in life, but I guess I'm too young to be thinking about that actually (I'm only 24).

I've been reading GFY for seven years also. I didn't set up my account until January 2002. I should have set up an account when I started reading. It took me a while to set up the account because I was always worried I'd get ripped on or say something stupid. I think I studied the board for a year before I started posting. lol

It has changed a lot the last 7 years.

I was on here in 02 also, and remember exactly what you are talking about. People have calmed down a bit or the people that treated everyone like shit got out of the business.

Thats why i love GFY although ever evolving there is always a core few who will always keep it going, there is alot of loyalty to this community.

I laugh at this place daily, you couldnt find the amount of personalities as on here with all other boards combined.

Much more than it was... i walked the edge for more than a decade with not caring about taxes, life, nothing... so yes, its on its way to being MUCh more together than it was.

hehe, yeah people have changed quite a bit on here. What happened to guys like Amp and Labret? I'm sure there are more people but I forget who they are.

So did I. I was lurking in 2001. I didn't want to jump into the fracas because good ass whippings were being handed out daily by some pretty intelligent people. Labret, Serge, 12 clicks and several others were in rare form back then.

I regged in 2002, and whaddya know, within 100 posts 12 Clicks sauteed my ass and served it over foie gras with a light garlic sauce.

Good times.

Fletch, it's good to hear you turned everything around. You have always struck me as a good guy.

Quiet lives a helluva life. We don't have a lot of the same interests and viewpoints on life but I definitely admire the way he really enjoys what does.

Cheers everyone

It's been a few years for sure and a lot of changes as Redshoe mentioned...

btw, congrats FLETCH! Seriously glad to hear of your redirection. I can relate on a few points...finding your purpose and your groove in life is totally necessary.

Yes. Didn't you get your orange shirt in the mail? You should be in the picture too.
