They talk about such in the last half Ramos... The last half is not put together as well as the first half... however in the last half they make way too many assumptions!

The early history I find to be very interesting regarding the birth of religions and their fanatical types; giving very possible answers to how the modern religions came to be, and how they are use to control the masses...

You sound like my college professor, when I would doze off in Corporate Finance very stern

The first 30 minutes were more about astronomy, the bible, etc....If I missed something, so be it.

I agree. I thought this was worth sitting down and watching it once, maybe twice.

Who cares if it is full of holes, it makes people think and makes them research more to find out more about what's going on in the world. If more people did some searching about some of the shit that goes on in the world, the world would be a much better place.

It's a fascinating movie. I've heard that the reason the makers did not give themselves credit anywhere in the movie is that they were threatened and need to hide. That's apparently also the reason why there's no interactive tool being added to the website (unlike promissed) hence their site is not getting any facelifts anymore. If you do a little search on Zeitgeist, you will find places where the movie and its effects on society are discussed - which pretty much takes over for where Zeitgeist makes (had to) take off:

Zeitgeist The Movie - The North American Union??? WTF

Agreed, more people need to educate themselves before giving their opinions on anything, especially politics and the war on terror ...

Also, this looks good. No End In Sight

ok so I caught another 20... this is taking the 9/11 turn I see... well... Ill wait for tonight to watch this...

I thought this was all about religion..

Is any of the predated deity stuff in here factual?

I did a wiki on horus and found none of the words in this movie... set, thats it....

But he was referenced as the light or resurrected it seems...

any proof to any of that that anyone has learnt or read before?

Interesting movie, saw it a while ago. There's too many points for each subject they touch on to properly do it justice though. If you have time, I highly recommend checking out The Pharmacratic Inquisition, that's where the producers of Zeitgeist got a lot of their Jesus info from. Much more info in this version though.

"Thousands of years ago, in the pre monarchic era, sacred plants and other entheogenic substances where politically correct and highly respected for their ability to bring forth the divine, Yahweh, God, The Great Spirit, etc., by the many cultures who used them. Often the entire tribe or community would partake in the entheogenic rites and rituals. These rites were often used in initiation into adulthood, for healing, to help guide the community in the decision process, and to bring the direct religious experience to anyone seeking it.

In the pre literate world, the knowledge of psychedelic sacraments, as well as fertility rites and astronomical knowledge surrounding the sun, stars, and zodiac, known as astrotheology, were anthropomorphized into a character or a deity; consequently, their stories and practices could easily be passed down for generations. Weather changes over millenniums caused environmental changes that altered the available foods and plant sacraments available in the local vicinity. If a tribe lost its shamanic El-der (El - God), all of the tribe's knowledge of their plant sacraments as well as astronomical knowledge would be lost. The Church?s inquisitions extracted this sacred knowledge from the local Shamans who were then exterminated? It is time to recognize the fact that this Pharmacratic Inquisition is still intact and destroy it."

If you thought Zeitgeist was good, check out:

The Empire of the City Vol 1
and
The Empire of the City Vol 2

it's like 5 hours in total, but was WAY more informative than Zeitgeist IMO

Ya, Empire of the City has some really interesting info and theories I'd never heard put together before....when I did my own fact checking on a lot of it it seems to be pretty damn accurate.... only the 1st 30mins or so are 911 related, but the rest of its' on point too...

What gets me about this movie is the way people just accept what it has to say without batting an eyelash or doing an iota of research. And it's quite ironic that those same people will then turn around and criticise people who accept the official story on 9/11.

I can't comment on the second and third parts of this movie about 9/11 and the Federal Reserve as I've only had a chance to watch the part about religion. But what I have seen has been complete and utter bullshit. Read up on the other deities they compare to Jesus: Horus, Attis, Mithra, etc. Make your own conclusions.

Many of the so-called similarities are complete fabrications.

Ive done a little research afterwards... (havent fisnished the movie) and I found fixed info on the horus and other deities... I look at one page (wiki) and it says nothing about similarities to jesus. but who trusts wiki as the truth anymore..

Then i go further into google and i do find some of what the movie says... I think this is going to take some hard bound knowledge (library)

Ill finish the movie tonight...

rest assured that not everyone is just batting an eyelash... just crurious about the religion aspect..

Come on... if the predated replicated deities thing is at all factual... I mean thats a huge hole to be looked at.

My only thought is... If this is true at all, if any of these deities do or did hold these similarities.... Im sure I would have heard of this theory a way long time ago. Seems like too controversial of a theory to be not known or spouted forth from non believers.

"Yahweh" as you have said it had no vowels and thought be be said in a similar way... and such was referring to a volcano god on a small island... however when kings were using their religions as a tool of war they ofter told the people of the land that they were taking over that their god sent them to protect them etc... after a while this volcano god was now referring to "GOD" in the image of the catholic church...

Yahweh was a symbolic Hebrew word representing a bursting force of life energy, ie: volcano, ejaculation, etc.

Like when you bend a hose to cut off the water, then suddenly release it and the water bursts out, that release is called Yahweh.

That's why the Jewish scientists called it "The Big Bang" theory, sex based lol

The movie also seems to suggest that astrology is the basis of Christianity, which is not the full story. My understanding is that most significant Chrsitian dates line up with certain astrological and solar activities but that doesn't mean those events inspired Christianity. They inspired pagan events.

Christians then celebrated their own events on the same days for a couple of reasons. Firstly, in the early days Christians were persecuted for their beliefs and the only time they could celebrate their beliefs was during pagan celebrations so as not to arouse suspicion. When Christianity became more popular, celebrating those events on the same days as pagan events became more about overshadowing the pagan rituals they used to hide behind.

Um, most of the so called "Christian" events are taken from much more ancient beliefs, just adapted by Constantine. 99% of religions are based in Astrotheology, Drug Use and Sex Worship. Fuck, even the Muslims worship Saturn. Check out some shit from Jordan Maxwell, Joseph Campbell, Achayra S and John Allegro to name a few.... Gnosticmedia.com is a great site for the Drug Cult aspect of it, check out the Popes and Mushroom pics

Christianity like many religions take claim to whatever they think they can, as to make their points... religions as I have said are tools of war... there is tuns of documentation to support this point...

Checked out Vol 1 last night - this shit is deep...
