Tim McVeigh - Hero or Traitor???

In another thread we've got Bobo and [Labert] contending that poor Timmy McVeigh was a hero who did nothing wrong. I personally happen to believe that he is LOWER on the food chain than Osama or Saddam. I mean, call me mentally challenged, but I'm having trouble seeing the "hero" or "patriot" in a guy who was only sorry that he caused collateral damage in the day care center because it hurt his cause. So ... what does GFY think?

A) Both Ruby Ridge and Waco were disgusting miscarriages of justice
B) Timothy McVeigh was a fucking moron to do what he did. Killing a shitload of government clerks and kids in the day care won't fix a thing.

Anyone see "Arlington Road"?

He wrote a letter to his mom while in Desert Storm saying that after killing so many people -- it became easy.

The military made him a h<font>e<font>a<font>r<font>t<font>l<font>e<font>s <font>s killer.

Yeah, no one is responsible for their own conduct anymore: their parents, the government, rich people, poor people...in other words, OTHER people are responsible.

What about the tens of thousand of children killed in Nagasaki and Hiroshima?

Surely you will not call the pilots of the enola gay and the developers of the atom bomb unpatriotic.

Quit your whining bitch.

Really I don't know who is responsible. I've never tried killing hundreds of people... nor do I ever plan to join the military (because my uncle got his head fucked up bad in Vietnam)

Would I have hallucinations and hear voices like other murderers? Probably... Would I go insane? Only God knows... LOL

No ... I don't consider the military pilots nor the scientists who worked on the Manhattan project unpatriotic at all. I also distinguish their acts from terrorism.

McVeigh was neither a hero or a patriot. His thinking was wrong headed and he ultimately was a fool. He did have courage, the courage to act upon his convictions, even though his thinking was wrong headed.

hhahah way to go [Labret], use the victims of Hiroshima and Nagasaki to bolster your inane argument, like you've actually thought of them and their plight in anything other than a fleeting gesture...trying to resurrect some sort of legitimacy....

Timothy McVeigh thought he had a computer chip implanted in his ass....

[Labret] you've got something implanted in your ass as well, your brain.

A fool? No... A fool invests in a Ponzi scheme or comes here and asks whether it's okay to download pictures from newsgroups and put them up on his site.

Tim McVeigh was evil, and even though I'm not a real friend of capital punishment, I didn't lose much sleep over his execution.

He was a fool in the sense that he had faith in the nuts that composed the different "militias" that were running around in the boonies playing war games. He thought that he would be the trigger to ignite these "militias" into action. That is why he was a fool. He thought those/these idiots were for real. Many of the "militias" that were in existence then now have almost zero membership. McVeigh gave them a wakeup call alright.

The good of the many outweight the good of the few. At the time it was estimated that US loss would have been almost a million to take the main land!

That coupled with the FACT that we were up against people that were told the Marines would eat their babies, and even worse to surrender was forbidden. You get what you get, war is hell man!

Not too mention that we really wanted the Soviets attention.

At the end of the day, we didn't start it. We just ended it.

I find it interesting that McVeigh and Nicholls had contacts in the Philippines and went there just before coming up with the plan for the bombing in Oklahoma. Nobody in the Philippines except Al Queda operatives.
