Honest opinion: is Adult Friend Finder trustworthy?

I have no proof but sometimes it SEEMS (I could be wrong) that I am missing commissions. Last week I saw 5 pendings and then nothing. A few days later I saw 2 more pending then nothing. But a week before that almost all my pendings went through and I made good money. This also happened the month before, and I almost swore off AFF then but then the money started coming again and I was sucked back in.

I may start promoting another adult dating service for a while to compare. If anyone here is successful with adult dating and wants to sign me up please email me at madcaphilarious at gmail.com

what you see as "pending" is a free registration pending, not a sale

if the guy/girl does not confirm his/her email (I think) then the accoutn is not registered that's why the "pending" dissapears

go revshare with them, send some traffic, wait a few months and you'll see some $$$ coming

I think pending may also have other implications. If the person signs up to AFF, and then tries to sign up with Cams, you may see the pending if you sent the traffic to cams, but in the end, that guy has already been paid for somewhere in the system so you don't get a sale.

From what I gather, AFF / Cams appears to pay one time and one time only on per-signup members. If someone has been or is a member, then you don't get paid for them.

I may be wrong, but this is how I read the explainations given in the past.

I had AFF up for six months or so and made like $20... I thought dating wasn't for me. I changed out all of my links to Fling on a whim and the first month made several hundred dollars. Now I make just under $200 a month from Fling with pretty minimal traffic.

No, it isn't bank, but $200 a month is considerably better than $20 for six months.

Before a free signup is confirmed in your stats the user must login once with the password sent by email. The profile created must also be approved by our staff as a valid user. If someone is not approved but does redo the profile text and becomes approved later the user will be credited to you at that time.

If the users orders you get credit even if we don't show the signup as approved yet.

I can say, from my own personal experience, I've always been paid accurately and on time. In fact I moved house last year and I even had them chasing me up asking me why I hadn't cashed some checks. Told them I hadn't changed my account info since moving house and they paid me via epassporte the very next pay day.

Someone mentioned aff use deceptive advertising. So does almost every other fucking adult dating site. If that's your only criticism then best stop promoting dating altogether.

I honestly know jack shit about zango and torrents so on that score I have no opinion.

All I can say is they pay honestly in my experience and if the chicks in the ads are not in your town then neither are they from most other adult dating sponsors (do I agree with that? nope, but on the whole surfers kinda know anyway so I sleep at night).

Those are for illustrative purpose. They can't be responsible for you drawing the wrong conclusion that the girls shown above are the once that live next to you.

There's not one single Dating sponsor who does not use this technique to get ignorant people like yourself to sign up.

Please remember that you distrust every dating sponsor in the world, not AFF in particular.

That AFF is scumbags in many other situations is a whole different talk.

I think it's quite obvious to most people how AFF promote themselves using Zango and Torrent / Warez related traffic and how this negatively effects the business and somewhat your sales from the zango infected users. However I don't think they shave in the original sense of the meaning.

I also suggest that you just try the others and see what makes you the most money and then chose then one that works best for you, if your moral allows you to.

When you lay down with dogs, you get fleas. If the visible parts of AFF's marketing are any indication, there is no limit to what might be going on inside the company that we can't see.

Lifetime membership sites are particularly prone to problems from this. For every person that signs up, the conversions for everyone else get incrementally worse because there are less fish in the sea. I think at this point most people sending traffic to AFF / Cams are sending problem 20-50% bought and paid for members that won't ever make them another cent.

It's the easiest way to understand how they can pay $125 a signup, because half of your traffic is coming back and making them money and they don't have to pay you for it, so they can afford to pay more for the occassional signup that is left.

Law of diminishing returns, nothing more, nothing less. Provided you can find another dating site that hasn't been overwhelmingly promoted, you can do better money just because more of the surfers aren't already members bought and paid for.

AFF, unlike MANY other dating sponsors, even state the following beneath such images :

AFF have obviously fucked up big time by allowing certain webmasters to promote them. Personally, I really like them, but looking at the responses in this thread, someone at AFF really needs to clean shit up. You've got a GREAT company there with awesome sites like AFF, FF, ALT, SFF, etc and their profile is obviously tarnished. This is almost a crime in itself. I can tell you from the POV of surfers AFF, FF, ALT, Bondage etc have a very high reputation overall. These are the kind of sites you promote with revshare because you KNOW they're going to retain.

I did not know pending meant free signup, but I was making sale after sale for a while and then things dried up even though my traffic increased so was concerned. I may go with revshare but those $85/95 commissions are hard to resist.

I still want to test it out against another dating service however.

I earn most through AFF with their revshare programs. And yeah best to try a mix of dating sponsors.

No AFF is don't trustworthy. Some months ago all the already approved women traffic misteriously disappears from my stats, and I report it several times to the support and too to Sagi_AFF and never got an answer from both.

Most people in this thread seem not to know that or choose to forget it and instead prefer to guzzle down the haterade without checking the ingredients, grab their burning torch and their "AFF IS THE DEVIL" sign and head on down to join the witch hunt despite at least one of their current sponsors probably doing the same, similar or worse things.

Yes their stats are confusing sometimes, but Sagi explained above what the thread starter's problem was.

Yes they allow torrent sites to promote them as do most other dating sites and several other large Sponsors.

But again, no on the Zango stuff. Check the latest list of sponsors currently using Zango, I think Will76 made a thread on it recently.
