When do you drop a Sponsor? (Blog/SE Traffic)

Do you go with the unwritten rule that most Webmasters use, where you make a decision after you send 3k unique visitors to a sponsor? Why 3k, and not 2k? How low does your conversion ratio have to be when you make the decision to change sponsors? This is just for Blog/SE traffic. Obvioulsy, TGP traffic would be different.

0:3k is pitiful for blog traffic. It depends how much you have to begin with. I dunno I always stick to the 0:5k rule.

I tend to know how much certain products should convert on a given traffic source. This only comes with experience and is usually subjective (I'm sure we all convert a little differently). If I take on a new sponsor and they're converting absurdly over the norm then I would drop them but, so far, it has never happened. If I drop a sponsor it's usually for different reasons (i.e I don't like their business practices or their sites).

I go to 5k and if nothing has happened by then, I just let the blog sit and work itself from that point out. Hasn't happened but once or twice.

Are you saying that you to stick to one sponsor per blog?
