I'm getting outdoor pool. Should I get salt water or regural pool?

I hear salt water is better for your skin and less hassle, but not good for equipment? Anybody has experience with either one?

I have a salt water pool.

I would never go back to chlorine.

They also have freshwater with UV cleaning, no chemicals and no salt. Plus in worst case situation you have lots of drinking water.

In which case, it's probably best to give up, anyhow, because the radiation has made you sterile, and have caused everything to start growing cancer.

Natural disaster, draught, so forth.

Hell during water rationing you could still water ones yard and plants with your pool water then.

Though I did say worst case scenario. Not a real big reason to go that direction, well water rationing could be a reason for some in LA or Vegas. I just think they are much easier to maintain, no chemicals are being used, and you have no salt fucking with your machines and everything else in your yard. Yes that salt will get blown out of the pool and crust up on other shit.

Get chlorine, a heater and wow what a difference an electric cover makes. You are forced to get a med/small rectangular design but the connivence is worth it.

Both pools require you to keep track of the pH... Both require muriatic acid to keep the chlorine from evaporating. A salt water pool cannot have standard metal parts inside it such as the ring around your light or the screws holding such a ring in place.

Most people prefer the salt water pool to the chlorinated pool. Both have chlorine in them. The difference is the pH balance is often a bit high in a standard chlorinated water pool so it burns the eyes and possibly dries out the skin. A salt water pool feels like a soft water bath. Soothing.

Where do you get the salt water from? Do you live by the ocean?

Salt might have its advantages, but you'll be surprised how many people wont enter your pool when they find out its salt water. A lot of people don't react well too it. Eyes burn real easy, you find out where any cuts or scrapes on your body are right away. A see it all the time here in PR. They have the ocean if they want salt water, pretty much all pools are uv or chlorine.
