You should get your ass over there and get some pix...
More people will believe you if you post nekkid pix of your model in her empty apartment - and if you could pick her up some mascara on the way over, then have her cry, the mascara running could be a real selling point.  It sucks if it's true, but this really does smack of a marketing ploy, since she would not be making the money from any affiliate sales for awhile.
