I highly recommend getting the ACADIA from GMC with the captian chairs if you have kids.

I fit my three kids comfortably plus luggage.

Also, it looks sharp, great on gas and keeps its value.

Thats a cool truck, I almost got one of those or the Buick or Saturn version, they're all good family cars. I had a Rendezvous that I was lugging the kids around for the last several years and then just realized that the wife's minivan was enough for that, I'm rarely hauling more than one kid at a time....... so I got a convertible instead

I know all about residual value.... it is FACT that the 3-5 year resale value of a GM is an absolute joke in comparison to the japanese equivalents.

For fun I drive a '68 mustang...
For daily driving.... 07 Honda Civic Hybrid... Residual value? My last one I put 20k miles on and TOTALED it! put the insurance money and $1500 together and bought a BRAND NEW ONE!

I used to have a GMC Yukon Denila. I bought it in 2002 and got stolen on New Years Day 2004(reference: http://www.gfy.com/fucking-around-and-business-discussion/215659-auto-insurance-truck-stolen.html )
My insurance company valued the car at 40,000.00. I owed the bank 33,000.00. I had 7000.00 to buy or lease a new truck but I choose a mini-van lease for 39 month. Hence, my lease is up and got a new ACADIA. I really wanted a new Hybrid 2008 Denali but it wouldn't be responsible of me getting that kind of car with a mortgage I currently have.

that and the hybrid denali is so much more expensive just to get the hybrid pieces that it simply takes too long to get your money back from the gas the hybrid parts are saving. They need to just put good diesel into the Yukons and call it a day.

Also when I said I took the insurance money + $1500 I didn't owe a bank anything.... meaning 20k miles and I lost $1500 from the value dropping... BUT factor in the tax credit and I pocketed a good $500 from it.... AND drove a car 20k miles.....

Right now I have 2 kids but another year or so when I have to fit a third in I'm mainly looking at the toyota Highlander hybrid with the third row seating. It's the ONLY vehicle I can find currently outside of a mini van (will NEVER drive) that seats 6 and gets good gas mileage.

BTW that Acadia is the only good looking vehicle on GM's small SUV platform. Those other ones look like shit.

I've checked this and the other variants out. I get a GM discount and this is pretty much the only line of vehicles GM has that I am interested in. What made you pick the GMC over the others? They're all similarly equipt, with the Saturn costing a few K less and the Buick a few K more.

I have over 75 programs that I pump traffic to and some that take a good chunk. Overall I have to say the "dating" niche accounts for a good chunk.
