No Iran bomb, says UN watchdog

The chief of the UN's nuclear watchdog said yesterday that he had no evidence that Iran was building atomic weapons and accused US leaders of adding "fuel to the fire" with recent bellicose rhetoric.

Nothing new buzzy - liars will continue to lie and go to any lengths to sell their lies to stupid people.

IAEA made it more than clear that Iraq never had WMD prior to the current US adventure - but, the liars not only sold the tale to legislature, but also to a population who ended up generally in support of another stupid alleged "war". A sheep on the hillside of Afghanistan has more sense.

Hopefully they do see it second time around Tony. If not, the outlook is probably going to be very bleak at various levels - not least, economically.

Not only do they finance the shit Iran has forces in Iraq, and Iran is also suspect in the killing of various Iraqi leaders while we are trying to rebuild the place.

Not kool, fuck Iran.

I saw the recent interview with Mohamed El Baradei, the head of the IAEA. It was very obvious from his spoken words and body language --particularly his facial expressions -- that he was lying or at least unsure.

I don't trust the guy.

Obviously you are a good judge of character and managed to support an imbecile into the Whitehouse. Well done.

News for you - I'm a much better judge of character than you are ever likely to be in your life. Would also ask, why has nobody considered serving your carcass up as second rate dog food?? It sure serves no other purpose.

Iran is not Iraq. The war with Iran is likely to be not as easy to win.

He said Saddam wasn't working on getting Nukes and he was 1000% wrong !

So now he says Iran isn't close to getting any nukes and we should believe him ?

What Mohamed ElBaradei did say is the following...

"We haven't received any information there is a parallel, ongoing, active nuclear weapon programme. Even if Iran were to be working on nuclear weapons... they are at least a few years away from having such a weapon.

My fear is that if we continue to escalate from both sides that we will end up into a precipice, we will end up into an abyss. The Middle East is in a mess, to say the least. And we cannot add fuel to the fire."

Did you see anything in Dr ElBaradei's comments which said "Iran isn't close to getting any nukes"??? I didn't

Who exactly would you trust? The director of the international community's International Atomic Energy Authority who is accountable to the UN and far better equipped to know about nuclear weapons activity than anyone/country - including the US.

Or would you prefer to trust a lying, unaccountable, washed-out administration in the US? It's not even a contest - one has cred, the other has no cred.

PS Not to mention that on a personal basis, Mohamed ElBaradei has more qualifications and cred than any one prime individual in the current US admin - lawyer, diplomat, Nobel Peace Prize winner, over 20 years experience with IAEA and dealing with many countries.

Along with his then boss, Hans Blix they told the US very clearly of the situation in Iraq, but, did imbecile Bush listen?? Nope, he had other agendas.

Sure, ElBaradei don't give a damn speaking out when he gets bullshit from Washington - he, like most people with sense, know liars and bullshit when they hear it.

Interesting the French have switched sides this time.

Yesterday. The French Defense Minister, Herve Morin, when visiting the Arab states of the Persian Gulf, said he possesses information that Iran is developing nuclear weapons.

He dismissed comments by the head of the UN atomic watchdog the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) that there was no evidence Iran is building nuclear weapons, saying Paris has evidence to the contrary.

Sure, it was the UK who had evidence before - tho they now have "issues" and the stand-in is now the French - just a minor script change in this pivotal dramatic role

Anyone got evidence? Produce it and have it verified or are we just going to talk about it again to justify the anti? *lol* Sheesh.. they are such a pathetic collection of liars and sub-human species.

Hey Buzzy,

Did you see CNN today:

CNN: U.N. losing grip on Iran nuke plan

NEW YORK (CNN) -- The U.N.'s nuclear watchdog admitted Thursday it was no longer in touch with how Iran's nuclear program was developing, even as Tehran continues its enrichment activities in defiance of sanctions.

A report from International Atomic Energy Agency chief Mohamed ElBaradei, said that while Iran has cooperated in several areas -- by providing access to declared nuclear material, documents and facilities -- it is withholding in others.

"It should be noted that, since early 2006, the agency has not received the type of information that Iran had previously been providing," the report said.

"As a result, the agency's knowledge about Iran's current nuclear program is diminishing."

Wait you mean the UN is out of touch with what's really going on and esentially powerless anyway? I mean I had my doubts after the whole Darfur thing (is that genocide?!?) but now I'm really starting to wonder!

And what statement in particular did the UN make which was not accurate??? Or are you just blowing hot air again?

It's scary how many people are blindly willing to put so much faith into an organization that is accountable to no one.

But then it's not really surprising since the people who do are mostly anti-American and anti-Israeli.

Perhaps they have valid reasons to be. The U.S. isn't exactly known for it's global constructiveness (quite the opposite).

And Israel...

Detach the two statements of my previous post. I was referencing Israel's continuous illegal annexation of Palestinian territory.

Meanwhile, the U.S. has fucked Chile, Vietnam, Iraq (twice), Afghanistan, Guatemala, amongst other countries.

As for the UN, they should move the headquarters to Switzerland, remove the security council and do a new charter defining votes.
Now, it is simply not working ...

Fiddy!

Too bad these same inspectors couldn't say or didn't have the balls to say that Saddam wasn't making WMD (you remember those weapons of mass destruction, a phrase Bush won't even utter anymore?).

Could have saved the US billions and saved a ton of lives.
