log ins for paysites

Shit, you are right. I did kind of say it ass backwards.

I am asking if any paysite owners, or programmers ever used this type of log in method instead of using the regular pop up login system. Kind of controlling how and where you display the login box, i.e. embedding the log/password into html.

I get you now. No, I dont have any experience of doing it myself, but I think that's usually the way its done when there's some form of password protection system in place... (Well, I believe thats correct, but I could be talking out of my ASS... )

HTTP authentication and form log ins is the area I've been working in for many
years. Give me a call if you'd like at 979-530-1300. Basically, we have a
great log in system using a form. You seem to be asking about converting
a form based log in to the "basic authentication" standard, though.
No form based log in cause use http "basic authentication" any more on the
public internet, though, due to the "security fix" in IE to address certain types of phishing. Until Microsoft did that, you could send a location header to basically
convert the form data to basic auth data. On a private network you can turn
off this security fix. Too bad Microsoft wasn't bright enough to fix it the
way that Mozilla / Netscape / Firefox did - by alerting the user. Instead they
just stopped supporting a well known standard, breaking a bunch of stuff.
