where you day trading? Apprently if you make more than 3 daytrades in a week your suppose to be flagged on every broker unless you have a margin account with 25k in it..

From what my trader friends tell me TOS (Think Or Swim) is the only way to go if you are an active trader.
I am an active trader myself and left Etrade (terrible platform) for Ameritrade Apex. The platform with Ameritrade is not bad but under heavy volume (fed days etc.) the entire amtd system locks up. I have lost a ton of money on those days. I am switching to TOS over the coming weeks. Check them out.
